I just bought a set of spark plugs. I was wondering if i purchase the right one. They are NGK Irudiums IGR7 AG. Is this the correct ones, or should it be BPR7EIX? whats the different from the two?

So I called autozone they have B8ES, so what does mean?
Is safe to run on my car?

Is it BR8ES or BPR8ES....it is 1 step colder than the Bxx7ES. Minor bolt ons stick with the 7s but if you upgraded turbo or run alky then it is recommended you use 8s

The copper plugs are a lot less expensive but will need changing more frequently than the Iridium plugs. In a copper NGK plug, the BPR7ES is the equivalent heat range to the OEM Iridiums.

The BPR has a protruding tip while the BR has a non-protruding tip. A BR7ES is 1/2 a step colder than a BPR7ES, due to the non-protruding tip.

So, if a BPR7ES is equivalent to the stock heat range, then the BR7ES is 1/2 a step colder than stock. A BPR8ES is one full step colder than stock whereas the BR8ES is 1&1/2 steps colder than stock.

I have run BR8ES´s on the stock turbo and they tend to load up after about 2500 miles of mixed highway driving with a little bit of city driving thrown in. If you´re gonna be driving stop and go a lot, then I wouldn´t go much colder than the BR7ES, which as I mentioned is a 1/2 step colder than stock.

In general I like the BR better than the BPR due to its non-protruding tip design. There is less tendency for a recessed tip to preignite the combustion mixture on the compression stroke.

I said B8ES not BR8ES. It not a question if its colder or not, its a different type of plug with a different tip
