wow that is what I call some gains. I am curious how far off the hks 280's are from the 272's.

Thanks for posting, this thread will be an awesome tool.

Boost3dxEvO May 7, 2008 02:42 PM

yay for Tomei Pro 280s (: These are the cams I am running (switched from Cosworth m2's).. I could definitely tell a loss in spool and the lower end power compared to the cossies, but boy did they pull in the midrange and top! I was so amazed! And I have them on stock ecu with ZERO problems {thumbup}

EvoDan2004 May 7, 2008 02:57 PM

no jun or br BF272????? darn

crcain May 7, 2008 03:16 PM

I'm surprised you didn't take an hour or two more with each cam and try tweaking the cams a bit. For example maybe tweaking the tomei to spool a little better?

SRT-TO-EVO May 7, 2008 03:21 PM

Holy Crap! Tomei with the huge gains!

evovin May 7, 2008 03:30 PM

Are you using cam gears too?

Yes, As martin stated he had to degree each cam in the engine to make sure it was run at optimum manufacturer specifications

Every cam was installed straight up and I also measured the lift profile of each cam per centerline. I also played with intake cam timing to some degree with each cam to see how they reacted for my own personal reference. The tests are showed at zero installation per each manufacturer. Some cams did pick up power up top by retarding them but lost low end power as would be expected. Some cams exhibit quite different centerlines so it was interesting to see how they performed.

Are you going to post the cam gear settings too on each cams?:D
