Aluminum Rods & D.D.?

JohnBradley 4G64, Eagle 94mm, 162mm R&R billet aluminum rods, Custom ACL bearings, Coated 10:1 JE pistons, E85. We did the math on the Ultra long rod combo and 2.2 and it will rev exactly like a 2.0 if not a little better. The head has Kigglys in it and I am going to be playing with some custom 9 cams to see what crazy things I can do with the 3586.
Just curious what experience there is now with an aluminum rod and a long term Daily Driver service environment? Is it acceptable now, to use an Aluminum rod this way? :)

Also not sure what you mean by "Kiggleys" and "3586". :helpme:

BTW - The motor size and the 10:1 compression sounds like it will be a "Snappy" Motor off boost at lower RPM's also!!! Wish you the best on your new combination and have you started a separate thread on this project motor?

Kiggly's are Bee-Hive Valve Springs with lightweight Titanium Retainers and hardened steel spring seats.

3586, is more than likely some flavor of a GT3586R.
35R turbine wheel and 86mm exducer compressor wheel.

That sounds tempting on the '64 block.
But I'm not ready to go down that road.
