Any update on this?

FWIW i had no belt wear when my car crank walked.. I hope this isnt happening to you but i wouldnt mark it off.... I would have it checked. As your symptoms were JUST like mine.. And like most i thought OH IT CANT BE CRANK WALK!! And it turned out to be just exactly that... :crap: BUT now i have a fully built AMS 2.0 and am all fixed up :D

Still have not had time to work on the car, driving my inlaws land rover............how do I check for crank walk?

Well I worked on the car again last night, the forge recirc bov was loose as hell, and my battery terminal was practically ripped off. Fixed both of those as best as possible, car still runs like crap. I am going to pick up a evo 9 metal bov and swap it on to see if the forge is leaking. It is missing 3 screws that hold it together so that might be it. Other than that, I think I am just going to send it to a shop if it doesn't run right. Anyone know of a good evo shop in western NC or upstate SC?

Car has been to a shop for diagnostic. Turns out that the timing belt got loosened up somehow, and the cam gear on the intake side jumped ahead one tooth. I am getting a new timing belt, tensioner, water pump and all that jazz. Hope to have the car back in a week and back on the road again. He is charging $250 for labor to do everything, that sound reasonable right?

Got the car back today. It actually runs now, and everything is fine except the idle. I have to replace my iac, if anyone has one for sale, let me know.
