You shouldn't need to upgrade the stock FMIC on the stock turbo from what I've read. I only upgraded to the Buschur piece because the stock one had a dent in the bottom of it and was leaking.

My car was knock sensitive at 21psi with the stock I/C. Then I got the 3" ETS and my car was instantly less sensitive to boost and I am now running 24.5 psi peak with no knock. Anyone that tells you not to get an FMIC has either never tested one, or has never tested a good one. Another thing that is wrong with most people is that they buy the biggest Fing intercooler they can find. That's great for a big turbo car, but if you are running a smaller turbo get something a little smaller like I did. |
