You shouldn't need to upgrade the stock FMIC on the stock turbo from what I've read. I only upgraded to the Buschur piece because the stock one had a dent in the bottom of it and was leaking.

Upgrading you intercooler aids drastically in tuning. You can run a couple more degrees of timing without having to worry about knock. I say it's well worth it at any level.

^^Very much agreed.

My car was knock sensitive at 21psi with the stock I/C. Then I got the 3" ETS and my car was instantly less sensitive to boost and I am now running 24.5 psi peak with no knock.

Anyone that tells you not to get an FMIC has either never tested one, or has never tested a good one.

Another thing that is wrong with most people is that they buy the biggest Fing intercooler they can find. That's great for a big turbo car, but if you are running a smaller turbo get something a little smaller like I did.

The ETS units are a great value. We order a ton of them.

And this is why one of my next mods is going to be an ETS intercooler.

I'll be shooting for the 3.5 incher since I'll be eventually getting a 35R.
