Mod #36, change the shifter base bushings over to the newer WORKS type. Something I changed several years ago but again I wanted to give these a try since they didn't exists when I made the change originally. The base feels as solid as it did with the aluminum bushings, no movement like the stock rubber base bushings. We'll see what it feels like at speed later in the week.

Mod #37, installed a WORKS short shifter. I've never been sure about this change, didn't know if I would like it or not. Install was a breeze, no extra parts or trying to salvage bits and pieces from the old shifter, just plug and play! Shifting feels a bit firmer but not too stiff, looking forward to giving this piece a work out too.

^^+1 exactly right and true. thanks guys..well at least u guys got to look at urs in one peice...i talked to y insurance company today and got it sent to a body shop to get the damage fixed from the wreck on the ice saturday night!

Thanks I thought that I might be the only one Crazy or dumb enough to take a Voltex car out in the snow :lol: I will be getting and looking for a stock bumper soon to go on for the rest of winter and I think I will run with out side skirts {thumbup}

Re-installed the engine and bolted every thing back up. Filled it with royal purple. Started it up and roared like a mountain lion! haha. last week got the valve cover powdercoated:)
