It would appear that you beaten the synchromesh on 2nd gear. This may be weakened by wear and would reduce your rapid acceleration if you 'give it time' to mesh. However, when changing down you have the advantage of being able to 'double-de-clutch',a technique which can be mastered and will 'save' the gearbox.
Of course, you wouldn't have this problem if you had an SST 'box, but that's another story!

Nice! I have a 9 MR interior in my 8. I think the interior gets as many compliments as the performance parts lol

The Recaros alone turn a lot of heads and like you said, people think it's all aftermarket and I'm like no, thousands of Evos came with this interior stock. Speaking of Recaros, I was walking the dog the other day and a lady in my complex has a brand new Ford Fiesta. That little sucker has nice ass Recaros stock in it!

Man! Those ST's have nice ass seats. Both the focus and the fiesta. Perks of having a newer car I guess.

lol yeah they do. It's a carryover from their international cars. The Focus RS that was only available in England that Ford, for whatever reason, never brought to the US in the mid-2000's had Recaros as well. They were also an upgrade option on the SVT Focus during that same time. Ford has a history with Recaro.

Wash and wax.
Dropped about 5-6 lbs out of the rear bumper too finally. Check valve may or may not be permanent, I had wanted to run it into the frame rail, but the valve wouldn't fit :( So really it doesn't need to be that long any more since it won't go in the hole if I keep using that valve anyway. We'll see.
