Yea they go for good $$ too. I so badly regret crushing my rs shell

It is very satisfying to finally have all dash lights how they should be!

did u fix the ACD yourself? Cost? Haven’t seen mine like that in a long time 🙁

Yes, fixed by me. Got a rebuild kit from Britain, mauled the solenoid and found one from Russia(yes, it was loaded with love) and then the real problem ended up being burnt motor which has a Canadian company building an upgraded version that needs no support bearing and seals much better for 500$CAD. All in I spent like 1000$CAD but have a fully refreshed pump. And a spare that will get the same treatment. I got the spare pretty cheap assuming it would be good...dude lied and it"s bunk! I'm not counting that 500$USD.
Be careful with the solenoid if yours hasn't cracked yet. There is a fix for that as well but it's another 2-300$ and parts from UK. Billet stalk thingy vs pot-metal junk OEM bit.

Just looking at 'em the Firehawks are gonna be way better in wet than RE71's, plus I swapped a cheap-o IACV in to try and solve wandering idle, IT'S THE THING! Holy crap I was right before spending 1k! Who knows how long the 25$ unit lasts but now I know and can get OEM when required.

Post clutch install cleanup. My car finally has zero leaks again. I just used a Viton o-ring from harborfreight for the small o-ring on the transfer case and it seems to seal better :)

Why not, on Father's Day... Headlight Restro

Freshened up the headlights; had sandpaper on hand and time. Sealed them with Mcguires. Cheers!

Yes!! I went with Lamin-x : https://lamin-x.com/light-film-cover...dlight-covers/ . Went with CLEAR, but I wanted to try Yellow for some odd reason (it just didn't seem to go with the Apex Silver, IMO)
I might look at the 3M option for the other cars...

How do you like the clear Lamin-X? Did you feel it diminished light output at all or made it less sharp?

To be completely honest, I really like the Lamin-X clear, and how they came out. We've had the smoke version on the Ford Explorer for 3 years now and they still look brand new.

Even with the smoke covers, there isn't any less light output. i am very optimistic about how long they will last and as SOON as any sign of degradation occurs, I will chime back in.

Here is a before and after (without the low or high beams or fog lights on); kept the DRL mod lights on... because I really like how they add an updated look and they show no difference (without and with the clear covers).

... and now with the clear covers installed; gotta love the DRL mod, right!?

Changed my interior lights from optic to RBG and attached it to an on/off/on switch (hot/off/ignition). I strongly suggest an RGB strip setup over optics. Interior lights are not everyone's cup of tea though. :)
Evo 8/9 interiors can fit strips well in the dash and doors...including rear passenger. These lights offer some nice features...a main controller for behind the dash (4 outputs) and four Bluetooth sub controllers (4 outputs each) that only need to be connected to ground and ignition/hot. This way you don't have to run wires throughout your car. You just need to tap into power near where you want to connect your next sub controller and lights.

Contact info for the company building the motor?

Looks nice! What head unit is that? Works well? Thinking about upgrading my old Alpine unit.
