No offense ... but only a 3" lip on a +15 offset? I have a 3" lip on my iForged rims with a +30 offset.

Do you have pictures of this supposed 3" with iforged? Because your LE37s definetely did not have 3" of lip, maybe about 1" because LE37 design is face comes out so much even with a deep offset( I used to run 19x10.5 +15 so don't try to bs me here) and I could only see other photos of your car with NT03+M's cheapie wheels. I really would like to see it with a tape measure for reference.
Because, well , I will post up my calculations of your wheel :
http://www.paikmanz33.com/images/wheelfitment.JPG
ok so you have 84.3mm of wheel to play with, assuming the wheel is COMPLETELY flat which is impossible for your fronts due to brembo caliper,
that would be about 3.3" of lip.
However, from my experience fitting wheels usually you have to give at least about 1" of backspace clearing on the wheels rear hub, which allows for caliper clearance.
This would reduce you to : about 2.3" of lip all the way around.
But I really would like to see the setup.

Hmm I was off about a 1/4". Your ruler measurement isn't from where lip is visible, IE where the face stops overlapping. But  looks good, but not 3" of lip lol.

He should smack you like a schoolgirl with that wooden ruler!

Not sure why you dont consider the curved part lip? Its still part of the lip ... if you look at the ruler its 3" with the curved part. ... Vince at iForged told me it was going to be bigger then it actaully was as he said it would be 3.5" and I was going to go with +26 in the rear and run a staggered set up and he told me that the back would be close to 4". Eaither way its still a big lip for a +30 offset and its on a evo. Show me anyone else with a +30 offset and lip that size on a evo.

I was just suprised that Atom-Power's lip is "almost 3" all the way around with a 19x9 +15 offset ... I would expect to be close to 4" if not bigger.

I will show you a wheel we have in stock called the VOLK TE37 cup to show you why i dont compare lip sizes like that.. Because it is a 15x7 +40 with techincally through your standards about 2.7" of lip all the way around lol. and whatnoise dont be a homo, I invented stylish fitment in the NW area. I just don't like people to claim things that aren't.
And not trying to argue too much either, it is a big lip for 9.5 +30 on an evo.
with the lower disk model it WOULD have 4" of lip, but Mackin said it would not clear brembos.

mitsuozboi Oct 23, 2006 04:26 PM

car is amazing. I think only certain cars could pull of that wheel and thats one of them. probably would look great on an evo as well. staggered mabey?

Here is a pic of friends wheels GT-7 .... 19x9.5 +30 F and 19x9.5 +26 Rear ... there is 3" of lip on the front one and 4" of lip in the rear ... that what I based my offsets on.

icedomin8r Oct 24, 2006 02:29 AM

Screw the lip debate, that Skyline made my tip wet!

I do like the lip on my GT-7's though

Boost4me Oct 24, 2006 03:34 PM
