Look at the PAC SWI-CAN2 and the SWI-PS.

has anyone confirmed whether the PAC controllers work on the evo with RF system? I want to add the factory steeringwheel controls to my GSR when I install the avic Z3. I have the SWI-PS, but don't want to bother with the install if someone has tried it and found that it doesn't work already.

ahhh.... ic...

crutchfield says PAC SWI-PS works with 08 Lancers
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_127SWIP...S.html?tp=3405

but not the PAC SWI-CAN2

Now I want to get the steering wheel audio control and the PAC SWI-PS to make it work with my F90BT. It would be so cool if I can make the OEM steering wheel BT control to work with F90BT!! :D

Here is a good read...

its only volume and search buttons for the steering wheel its not that great. I have them. You cant control the bluetooth buttons with the controller.

DetailAddict Jan 16, 2009 08:25 AM

That sucks... :( Well, you can always get the factory BT! ;)

you can still use bluetooth on your head unit. You just cant use the controls on the steering wheel that came with the car

DetailAddict Jan 16, 2009 01:13 PM

yeah, i know, and i still do... but factory buttons are much nicer and eaiser to use. I hate having to reach to the unit and initiate BT usage... :(

nice, I've seen the info on their site, but I haven't heard from anyone with it installed and working. I already have the unit so I'll give it a try...but I need to order all the mitsu steering wheel controls first.

BTW, where did the shop mount your GPS ant? I was thinking under the dash but I'm afraid it won't have good reception there... Maybe on the rear deck??

DetailAddict Jan 17, 2009 09:06 AM

he put it directly on top of the unit itself... it seems to be okay so far...

Violat0rX Jan 17, 2009 10:21 AM

oh ok. I have the Z2 and it comes with this metal square that has adhesive on one side. The instructions say to stick the pad down and then put the GPS antenna ontop of that. Did you have the metal pad as well?
