it's colorado law that as soon as u establish an address here that you have 30 days to get your car registered in the county that you're living in. so i dont think it would be a good idea to reg. in cali. also if u bring a car over state lines you have to get a vin inspection. i registered my car in pueblo which doesnt have emissions testing but that's only because my ID still has my pueblo address :)

it only cost me $430 to reg. car in CO

hope this helps

Ok, I'd really like to know how the breakdown is for the fees. I just got registered in CO from CA, and the registration fee was $199! :confused: Granted I have a '03, and you guys had '05's... maybe that is the reason? Sounds like a bunch of crap to me!

Btw, they warned me that "most" '03's need to pass an emissions, unless you have an "exemption", which apparently I had. It would have been really interesting if I had to pass emissions since I have 272/272's! {OMG} I do have adjustible cam gears though, and I've heard that you might be able to pass by adjusting some of the overlap out. Luckily I won't have to worry about that until next year! {thumbup}
