after my most recent experiences i really, REALLY do not trust some of the more popular shops to actually give a **** about the customer cars they work on

I know of two very reputable evo tuners in the Philly area, KP Tuning & PeteyTurbo.

Probably closer than RRT from BK. Does Ivey still tune? lol

It's the same basic ROM for the 9 as it is the 8. So if you can tune a dual map 8 and dual map 9, you can tune flex in both. As long as he's not using the 3D VE rom that doesn't really work.

Yes and no. I've had a lot of success back in the day tuning Evo 8 roms. Evo 9 I've struggled with more even with the same tephra version. I noticed some prominent tuners (at the time) even stuck with older tephra versions for Evo 9. Not sure the current state of affairs.

Some things are labeled different.

What I was saying is that If you can tune a 9, and you can tune a flex 8, you can tune a flex 9.

separate note, for the guys running harnesses on roll bars, did you guys just weld a loop on for the harness to pass through?

i was looking at this solution (https://rennscot.com/products/rspro-...31783378190474) which i think is intriguing - easy to install/remove, quick and easy solution. not sure if people will scoff at a locking collar to hold the harness in place for side-to-side motion, but some don't use anything at all?

Shaft collars work fine and I zip tie the tail into a roll. I've seen those mounts pop up on my facebook a couple times and they're nice. If I didn't have other things to consume my money I'd probably grab a pair.

We just put them around the bar and zip tie the tail. That looks like a nice product.

"Winter" projects - ENDLESS Brakes

ENDLESS 6POT kit with 345x32mm 2-piece discs.
Old PFC 2-piece discs are 7.75kg (17lbs) per assembly. ENDLESS is 8.2kg (18lbs) per assembly.
Adding disc weight is critical for brake performance. The heavier the better.
The piston sizing is slightly smaller than the OEM Brembo calipers, so this keeps the brake balance the same (or very close to) OEM specs with the increase in disc diameter size.
ENDLESS disc has a 19mm airgap with 72 vanes. PFC was 18mm airgap with 48 vanes.

I've gone with CCRg compound for now, we'll see how they go on the track. I've got another set of ENDLESS ME20 to swap over if needed.
ENDLESS RF650 brake fluid too.

They fit under my ADVAN TC4, RG3 and WedsSport TC105X. All 17" models.

These are nice i like these nice solution.

I just have some little hoops welded onto the horizontal bar on my cage. they are probably 7mm profile? maybe 5? they look sort of like a cheap kitchen cupboard door handle lol. Then roll the tail up and tie off with cable tie.

Im getting pretty sick of the crappy fluid pumps and messing with suck out fluid to crawl under the car and push it in dripping fluids all over.

Is there a fancier filling solution? Air or battery powered maybe?

I use one of these for my gearbox and differentials

https://alemlube.com.au/web/product/...c-c12ab9b0e4ed

They work good you can just climb under and pump away. has measurements on the side so you can see how much has gone in. doesnt leak if u lie it on its side etc.

ViciousLSD Feb 28, 2023 09:52 AM

maybe you can drop this drum pump in a smaller container
https://www.ebay.com/itm/385392209937

I may try it one of these days

griceiv Feb 28, 2023 10:50 AM

I use one of these. It's still manual but at least you don't need to get the pump primed and screw around with 800 pumps while laying on the ground. you just put the fluid you want in it and smash it in.

Are you looking for drip-free filling (like zero leak quick connects) or just cleaner and easier?
