well just try it. learn to do alignment/small adjustments yourself if you want to maximize with your driving style, state/brand of your tires, venue etc
I just had -4.5F because my revalved shocks came late saturday, racing on sunday. I set the camber bolts evenly at -3.5 on the hub.

I’m just kidding, I’m sure I’ll be fine… Just mounted probably one of the last sets of re-71r tires. Dated from 2019 😆

FWIW, I recommend -4.25 to -4.5 front and -2.5 to -2.75 rear as a starting point for most on stock uprights. Rear really depends on how low you get it for the location in the camber curve.

With SSB Uprights -4 front and -3 to -3.25 is ideal.

Damn y u no tell me the camber before my alignment 😆. Regardless I think it’ll be an improvement from my previous.

How much camber are y'all getting on OEM rear arms? I feel like I can't get a while lot.

CaptainSquirts Aug 12, 2022 05:01 PM

I got -2.2 but didn’t try for more. 🤷‍♂️

No joke sometimes I felt like I was on ski’s when it was raining hard on the highway. Have to drive under the speed limit.

What is your ride height? The lower it is the more camber is possible.

Not exactly sure. I lowered the car to the point where none of the control arms were past parallel to the ground with a 13mm rake. The rear looks a tiny bit tucked.

Hmm that's a fairly normalish ride height. What are you at for rear camber?

I want to say they were only able to get 2.0 or so. It's been a while since it was done. I think I have a guage I can use to check. I'll look for it.

From my last autocross event, I spun out and lost low speed power steering when the the power steering is all warmed up. Drove on it for like a week after trying to add more fluid/bleed it. Still same symptoms and sucked up the fluid out of the reservoir . Was dark and had some sparkle to it (fluid was new when i replaced my oem pump with an aftermarket one. Thought my oem went bad but ended up being something else). Put a little magnet to the fluid and confirmed its a lot of tiny metal saving, like the same you get on your transferfluid drain magnet. Crazy how one spin caused that pump to buckle, guess I'll put my 130kmile oem one back on...

Autocross is hard on the power steering system. Seen tons of guys nuke pumps just doing donuts in parking lots. A good cooler goes a long way to help with that though.
