Thanks, they look awesome. Plus now we have some evidence of just how many Evos we can fit in the driveway.

hey all, great weekend overall, marshall, glad to hear it's at least driveable after the other day. Thanks to Dave for having the garage day and putting up with stubborn auto parts, and thanks to Kev and Dave for some great shots. It's supposed to be in the 90's this week!! Any ideas on mid-week meets??

avengerhed Sep 24, 2007 06:08 AM

Paul, I'm gonna be at the Fairmont Copley tomorrow afternoon. The event should be wrapping up around 5 or 5:30. I'm not exactly sure where to park down there but is there someplace close to the Fairmont that will be good for pictures? You want to meet up after work? Lemme know

MyEvoDream Sep 24, 2007 06:21 AM

Dave, there is that parking garage near the Hancock, that I showed you the pictures of the Evo that I took up there. It's located on clarendon st. right before/at the intersection with Columbus Ave. The couple of times I've been there, I park on the top level and there's some nice views of the Prudential and Hancock tower. I'm not sure how busy it will be there during the week, I've only been at night and the weekend, but either way I feel confident it's safe for the Evo.
Yea, I get out of work at about 5. I'll probably have my daily driver tomorrow, so I could drive up to Copley or you could meet me up by south station. We can head out in town somewhere or go back to my house and I can grab my Evo and we can head somewhere else to take pics...either way I'm down, just let me know what you feel like doing.

Dave thanks for putting together the garage day. It is rare to find people willing to let you pull your car apart on their property :)

It was a good time, if not slightly disappointing. Once Marshall has the parts together, I suggest we leave the car sit in one of my garages for a day or two while treating it to hefty amounts of PB blaster. Then we can pull the whole manifold-hotside-O2 off at once and go to town.

Of course, this is all only a prelude to yanking out my motor come November...

Oh, Turco, can you pass the pics of Greg's car on to him? I have them in high-res (10MP) with the photoshopping done, as well. I know I still owe you lots of high-res pics...I'll try to organize them and bring my laptop or a CD on Wednesday night.

That sounds like a good plan. I would spend an afternoon just breaking all the bolts and nuts loose and then go to town on one day. Do they make ARP header studs?

So I think i have decided to do my o2 housing as well. The ebay one is only like $100 shipped and since i am taking my exhaust mani off anyway i might as well do it all at once. That way i can pull off the hotside, port it, and ceramic coat everything. I will probably be ordering it next week but if anyone would like to come to framingham area and give me a hand i would be more then appreciative :)

I passed the pictures on last night as soon as i saw them. Greg is extremely happy with the pics and definitely wants to do a more formal shoot sometime in the fall to submit to some magazines. I am very partial to the door pic, greg said it was already his background :)

Glad to hear that you guys liked them.

I'll give you a hand next week. Just let me know when...I need some more practice for when I do mine... http://aseclub.net/forums/style_emot...ult/ohnoes.gif http://aseclub.net/forums/style_emot...lt/runaway.gif

But seriously...PB Blast that isht and leave it overnight un driven...maybe blasting it when it's hot could even help. we'll need any help we can get.

MR Turco Sep 24, 2007 09:39 AM

PB blast, let sit for a few hours, get car up to temp, spray again, leave 45 minutes to soak. If it doesnt come off at that point hit it with heat otherwise you are effed in the aye.

Dave thanks for the offer. I wont be ordering it until next week but i will let you know when it is time. After saturday i think i have a good idea what to expect but am still no where near excited about doing it.

MyEvoDream Sep 24, 2007 09:48 AM

turco, I'll most likely lend a hand as well if you'd like

Ahh, crap. Well, the curtain sprinkler flies at half-past four foot nine.

I hope that helps.

Wow, I guess my post never made it up here...

I am going to drive in and park where we talked about. Maybe you should drive in, too? :o

Then we can meet there after the event and snap some pics?

I guess I'm going to have to clean the bish tonight...

LOL.

BEZ is the mad russian hacker, thats probably the most familiar with the Evo ECU. 88890015 is the latest stock ROM version for the Evo9, and he has a large chunk of the code commented. so i downloaded the file, but my disassembly program doesn't recognize it.
