I love the look but it's not worth the decrease in visibility from long distance. I was thinking of fabricating leds in my tail lights but spare tails are still too expensive to experiment.

I've had my OS for 2 months now...and even though it may not be as extreme as some posts I see here...this is just the start to bring out the personality of my OS.
https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.evo...27b6585656.jpg I wanted to get aluminum pedal pads and fell in love with these. Little did I know that these are the exact pedal pads that are on the OS GT. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.evo...27b6585656.jpg New scuff plates installed. Even though the States don't call the OS and ASX. I think it still works. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.evo...27b6585656.jpg Before chroming the fog lights... https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.evo...27b6585656.jpg After chroming the fog lights. My next project is some chrome trim in the interior, some interior LEDs and some chrome accents for the side turn signal lamps and chrome accents for the rear reflectors. Again...not much like some of you guys...but it's a start. :) |
Just added my LED map lights and my license plate lights. I bought them really cheap ($3.00) total. No issues with flickering that others have reported. I'm very happy with the results!

Finally after been away for a few months i got around to do some installs. CAI was done a few months ago. H&R lowering kit, Strut bar, good waxing job, and the dragon eye lens film

Honestly I have no idea. Someone on here posted they got one so I picked one up off eBay. The seller says no brand the box didn't have a name Ether http://m.ebay.com/itm/Aluminum-Strut-Upper-Tower-Bar-Brace-Front-Lancer-DE-ES-GT-GTS-Ralliart-08-14-/400999739000?txnId=492279737027 |
Looks like a Manzo. I love the free shipping - YAY! Does it interfere with the (I think?) brake fluid filler? Hard to beat for $43 USD!

I just noticed you have a 2014 OS. I wonder if it will fit a 2011?
|
Just thought I should post a pic of the new front end on my RVR. Matte black 3M over the white horizontal bar. If you look closely you can see the 3/8" license plate plugs - 3med them as well. Also, by $1.25 yellow fog lights. :)
https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.evo...27b6585656.jpg Also I taught my daughter how to put on snow tires today. :) BTW, I will NEVER buy black steel rims again. Ever. |
It's been a while
Installed a Thule Force 628 Roof box in Aeroskin black.
|
Can I ask why no more steel rims? Rust issues?
|
Sure..
- not much savings over winter alloys - harder to clean than alloys - they rust if you look at them the wrong way (unless they are the powder coated ones and then you might as well get alloys) - trap mud and create balance issues - look like crap (IMHO) - heavier than alloys Just NEVER get chromed winter wheels if they use salt in your area. You know - dissimilar metals, salt = battery (corrosion) |
^ Thanks for this info.!
