Just me, Jason, and Carlos for a bit.

I didn't see another Lancer doing 18.3. Was it gray and either ES/LS trim? Auto or manual?

If so, those times sounds like the one I saw in g'ville a month ago during Summit Drag Event. That person ran 18.3x in cold weather (approx 70 degrees) and 18.7 when it got hotter.

Read the post, you and sekai covered all the bases. I don't need to inject myself making another point. Thanks for pointing me out.

it wasnt there running.....i just read it on here about him running the 18.3......it wasnt in the tampa post.....it was in general or somewhere...i forgot where i read it

sorry i havent posted, been really busy and all.......hopefuly i will get back over there soon for another meet. Getting the correct springs on monday and i am gonnna put the stock spec V SER rims on (or at least attempt to) to see how they look

DJPhattRoc May 11, 2002 03:08 AM

also i wanted to say that the spec v SER stock rims are lighter than the stock OZ rims on the lancer......oddly enough 17X7=16lbs
a piece.....................15X7=23lbs a piece

Carlos, I posted those times in the past about the g'ville event, hoping it was someone on this board. But no cigars.

Cory, wow, good R&D work. Where did you get the rims?

Hey, how did everyone get their avatar to work?

David, you know what yr mirage i could get the intake for my car? I've been looking for a 2000-01 mirage intake but so far no luck. Thanks

bahamut May 12, 2002 08:16 AM

Look for 97-01 mirages w/ the 1.8L, not the 1.5 (the intake pipe will fall short).

Don't get it from proparts.com (something like that) . . . some of the mirage guys are starting to get extra charges from fraud or security leaks within the company's site or an insider job.

Anyone know a good place that installs performance parts and the like? I'm trying to see if there are any good places out of sarasota other than autotronics. Tommorrow i'm getting my windows tinted:headbang: and also the intake I'll be ordering later today  Thanks for the heads up about that site david:guitar: :guitar:

bahamut May 13, 2002 03:29 AM

I meant this site (Procarparts.com) has a security leak.

Install performance parts? like what? The vast majority of them can be done by yourself a bit.

lazerlancer May 13, 2002 04:00 AM

I mean like exhaust, etc. I should be able to install the intake myself (hopefully) Also the strut bar too. I'm hoping to have this all done before the next club 1320

bahamut May 13, 2002 10:47 AM

Need a pro to do your exhaust. Intake is easy, just have patience.

Great news. I have an oppotunity to go on a dyno this weekend (not my car). A DSM'er in O-town has invited me to the Dyno session while he tunes the 1.8L Mirage turbo . . . a great experience on how TC should be tuned properly.

If anyone of you want to come, you may. I'm getting the details tonight from the DSM'er.

importlancer May 13, 2002 06:55 PM

Nice David that should be fun. :headbang:

Jason what intake are you putting in your car?

importlancer May 13, 2002 06:56 PM

...and what strut bar?
