would def save you money lol. I guess your not even worried about putting your evo back together again. LOL you have gotten used to not having it like me just another car your paying for that has been gone along time for sure

sup rock. You should get a custom emblem of megaman aka (rock) on the evo. i think there were some on ebay.

which motor mounts are the best to replace? front? what will improve shifting greatly?

 

The only motor mount i found needed to be replaced truely is the front motor mount help prevent wheel hop. i picked up a used agency power one off the forums for 60 bucks then got the STM clutch fork and STM SS clutch line so drivablity and feeling of car should greatly improve boss. haaaaaaaa somebody caught one Megaman is the Slave name Son!! Rockman is so much harder and RockmanX is a serious Player in the game I wanted to be Zero but was taken even dark Zero

 

not to thread steal, my friends evo has just the front motor mount replaced while i have all 4 switched out. You can feel the difference shifting in mine compared to his. He told me mine feels more solid when he shifts it and now hes looking at getting all his mounts changed out. There is some more vibrations for about the first month of so till the mounts get broken in but its not insane. If you wanna really lock that motor in place during shifts id say get the whole set. but i guess it depends how crazy you wanna get and how hard you wanna push the car. sorry for the thread jack though

 

intresting thought I was told my mike@awd and alot of other shops that changing all oem mounts will result in alot more vibration and would not be to enjoyable to a DD car but race only of course its good. Only the front mount really needs to be changed to prevent wheel hop. intresting read of course

 

I have all Ams motor mounts and its comfortable. The back one is still stock.

 

Nice well i have been told my what i consider quality shops only get one and leave the rest alone so whats what I did and thats what the blue bomber will roll with agency power front mount and it will get the job done LOL.

what the hell Rock..... Im gonna have my 2nd motor in before your build is complete!!!!!!!!!! Atleast you have the Z to play with in the time being though.

 

Mike is right. Dont change the mounts! It makes the car feel like a big vibrator, trust me I tried it!.. not cool!

The only mount you need to change is the front trans mount and that is all.. do not change any others or it will vibrate. the 2.4L is more balanced then the 2.3L but i still wouldnt do it.

 

I forgot to mention you in my post of one of the people i knew to change everything and instantly say its got to go like yesterday LOL. I remember we chatted about it as well. WELL I HAD TO CALL STM and order my STM OIL COOLER the 90 degree fittings will be in on monday and its off to shipment to JMS you will have your second motor before me WHOA big deal you beat me with the first motor have you not realized im taking my time and changing things out besides theres more going on with this build then you will know LOL. The Z is my focus because its in front of me trust me you will see the evo news again in like 1-2 weeks. I need the oil cooler like a crack head and i need my rebuilt exedy clutch like a Meth user. both of those parts are critical in this build and I cant progress without them period but you already knew that Ill be posting new pics of my seude job on my trunk part of my Z when I get home to see it again.
