thank you.
With my old set-up (gt3582r), I was impressed with the power it brings. But I was not happy with the lag it brings to the table....especially in a stop and go traffic.
I would like to minimize the lag. I think with a .63AR gt2871r, the spool will come a lot faster. So I'm hoping that this build will satisfy that

thanks guys! I appreciate it.
I'm actually jealous with the EVO platform, you guys have all the aftermarket support!!!
with Saturn closing........our platform is dead. There are no aftermarket support at all. Most of my upgrades are customized, and the process is soooo long, and very costly
I just got lucky that all the Aftermarket Parts that I've shown here were sponsored, which helps a lot. These companies were very supporting since they know that I need all the help I can to do this build.
regarding stand-alone units, I've talked to both haltech and AEM, but they don't have any for my direct-injection application.
DI injectors are limited to 400whp. We don't have any aftermarket DI injectors available.
That's why I'm adding PORT FUEL INJECTION to be able to supply enough fuel.
Im really on un-chartered territory doing this build. Lots of unknown, and I'm willing to learn every step of the way. On top of that, compound turbo is very new in the car world. I've talked to Marc of Boost Logic....and Kevin Jewer w/ DSM both done compounds. They're pretty helpful......
so we'll see what this brings!

Simply amazing build. Almost other worldly. The list of mods is so extensive and so high grade, it almost boggles the mind. Given the size and weight of the Sky, plus that sick compound turbo setup, a person better be packin' some mighty big heat to get near you. Thank you for sharing with us. True enthusiasts love cars of all persuasuions, expecially a build such as yours. Keep us updated on the progress of the car. BTW, those GM 4 cylinders are supposed to be able to make ridiculous hp and torque and take it as well. Who knows, maybe someone will transplant one into an Evo...

I always browse to Evo, Sti, DSM, and Supra forums to learn from different builds.
I was actually inspired by the boost logic and DSM compound builds.
Most Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky owners transplanted LS1-LS3 engines into their cars to get power. There's also one Solstice owner who transplanted a 2jz engine on his car
I would like to be different and still represent the ECOTEC engine at the same time. So I told myself, why not build a compound set-up?
A couple of the solstice/sky owners were actually thinking about getting EVO engine since there are tons of aftermarket upgrades.
You are right about the ECOTEC engines being able to handle tons of power at the strip. The cobalt drag cars of GM racing were able to produce 1400hp.
Those were the older ECOTEC engines.
The new LNF ecotec engines w/ Direct Injectors are still babies. Highest accomplished so far is around 600hp. DI is cool, but again, the fuel system and the computer are very limited right now......

3rd revision of the set-up, to have no hood clearance issues.
one more vertical suport from under the turbo and its downpipe:30
waiting patiently for the compressor v-band kit to finish inter turbo pipe. 304L

bellows and v-band kit (compressor) arriving this Wednesday.
As you can see, the compound set-up is a PACKAGING NIGHTMARE!
we will look for short fat radiator and custom shroud required for a v-mount Intercooler and Front Mount Intercooler. Dual Intercooler? what? what????
