So I finally got the turbo kit out. Here are some pics of the carnage:

Found the missing bolt . Man it's a pain in the *** to find M10 x 1.25 bolts. This time around I'm going to drill a hole in the bolt and install a cotter pin to keep it from falling out again.

I also ran into the issue of multiple semi rounded stock exhaust manifold nuts so I spent the bucks and bought some ARP studs.

Side by side comparison between stock and ARP:

Removing the factory studs:

I run the turbo to manifold with no gasket. Just get some stock washers from Mitsubishi for the turbo bolts. They are concave to keep pressure even during heat expansion. It is a hard battle to keep turbo bolts tight. The previous owner of my manifold welded the turbine housing to the manifold. No loose bolts or leaking gaskets that way.

Well if the turbine housing is welded to the manifold that's certainly one way to keep it from leaking. But I'm not sure how well that would work when it comes time for a turbo upgrade or rebuild. Thanks for the bolt suggestion though. I'll have to look into it.

It is not a full weld easily grinds right off. If you want to upgrade just grind and install a new one. Spot welds would be fine.

Sounds like a pretty good idea. I was thinking spot welding would work pretty good.

Finally got it back together. Here are some pics:

Cleaned up the turbo a little bit. I hit it with a Mother's Powerball a couple of times:

Found a small hole in one of my boost lines so I had to fix it:

Re-did some vacuum lines:

Finally finished:
