Picking up the car tomorrow. yay!
In the meantime, I was looking back into the archives and came upon this gem. Dorking around on the dyno one night. I actually think this was after I tuned the car for a time attack event and we decided to really test the tune out by having too much fun on the dyno. Can't believe this was a decade ago!

Good news: I have the car back. Machine shop didn't charge for the work.
Bad news: Still have no idea why Cyl #3 leaked. Turbo still smokes even with the new much larger drain fitting. If I knew this head bs would have taken so long I would have taken the turbo off and sent it to Precision to get checked/rebuilt at the same time. Arghh
I'm going to bang on the car this weekend and hope that the plugs come out clean. I have a track event scheduled for next Saturday.

Hopefully all is well with it here on out. Sucks the turbo is still smoking.
Have you tried seeing how much oil pressure is being fed to the turbo?
Idk about the precision, but Robert Young from FP/Xona was just on the Power and Speed pod cast saying the Xona BB CHRA's can go with as little as 10psi of oil pressure feeding a .020" Restrictor at full load.
They can't leak if there's hardly any oil in them I guess

I have a .030 restrictor in there already.
Old drain fitting on the left, new one on the right:
.030 is all well good, but if the .030 Restrictor is getting 120psi, it might still be send too much oil to the turbo.
My car has a .020" Restrictor on the feed line for the Xona CHRA. I put a 0-30psi gauge on it. Cold start it maxes the gauge out. Hot idle the turbo it getting 6psi, hot at 6k rpm the turbo was getting 28ish. Too much oil. I purchased a turbo smart oil pressure regulator that I was going to install inline before the .020" Restrictor. It's a bypass regulator and it reduces pressure to 40psi. And then the Restrictor will further reduce pressure. It worked well on Tim's (Abacus) car,

Well, F me. Nothing was fixed. Put 30 miles on the car since I got it back. Pulled the plugs today and #3 piston is wet with oil and #3 plug looks as bad as before (Brand new set of plugs). What a damn waste of time and money.
So pissed right now.
