My pistons shipped from ER today. So, bottom end stuff will be going to the machine shop next week.

And TRE is getting it done my drivetrain. Tcase is already done, and the trans is apart, and fully triaged. He just needs to order the 4.31 final drive. I'm sure I'll get that stuff back before I'm ready for it.

Yeah, hoping that as well. They're onlgetting the block for bore/hone, deck, check line bore, and the crank to balance it. So, not having the head to do should save a good amount of time. He can usually work bottom end stuff in quicker for me.

Added some grip today. Should be a good improvement over 255/40r17 NT01's. I was going to get Hankook Z221's in 285/30, but Hankook told my guy at discount all the "C" compound tire's are discontinued....

thats a nice step up, just sucks what happens to the price when you move to 18's. I just put Pilot Sport 4 S on the wife's car, so far she is liking them, not really in the same category as what your running though.

I found the best thing to do when tires get expensive is to just win them instead

Wiseco's ArmorX coating. It's a hard anodizing. Then Xylan on the skirts.

How much whp/tq are you planning on making? With a fully built driveline, I would want at least 700whp/550wtq on E85 for daily driving.
Your knife-edged intake splitter looks amazing!

****, I'm late to the party (as usual) but a little birdy told me the PA guys have loads of 295/30 Z221 softs that they'd be more than happy to sell. You said you're going with an evo 9 5th, why not a jdm 5th?

Also +1 on the raptor, hopefully getting one for myself in the next month or two.

We're going to max out the red. I was thinking about a turbo kit, but I got the raptor instead.

I'm not sure I'd want softs. Seems like they're a warm up, hot lap, cool down type of tire. I was looking for medium compound. Also, 295/30 is tough to fit with the width and height.

Yea I wasn't the most keen on softs either but I've been wanting to try TDs for a while now. As for the size a 275/35 is taller than a 295/30 (it's taller than a 315/30) so as long as you can fit the width, the height is what'll become troublesome. I used to rub the top of my wheel wells in the front with 275/35 and on the driver's side there's a wiring harness right there.
