Glad to hear it's going great Sean. Would you happen to know if the Buschur heat shield will fit as well as your Tomei heat shield on the FP mani?

They both "fit". You have to start all the bolts before tightening any of them. I went with the Tomei because it was less expensive, and I think it looks better.

As far as I have seen you have the purple restrictor feed from the head?
I also just received the FP purple restrictor for my DBB FP Black and think of feeding it from the OFH as it is now but with the black restrictor...
I'll look tonight. It has too much when I glanced at it yesterday. And I'm already getting a bit of oil out of the turbine housing leaking onto the vband clamp.

You certainly should not bother feeding the B.B. turbo from the OFH. The head feed gives it plenty of oil.

I just just ordered Turbosmart's turbo feed oil pressure regulator to install. Hoping that clears this up.

Got a short idle clip in the dark last night lol. Sounds mean. Mivec can make the cams disappear, but I prefer the lumpy/lopey idle.

Oh man, I want a legit lumpy idle... Need to do something so people stop assuming my car is mostly stock.

I can advance the intake for me too :P . But the S1s are pretty small I think compared to those R2s. I should at least up my game to a set of billet S2s

So, oil pressure to the turbo while at idle with oil at 175* was 6psi tonight. Wayyyy too much. Engine oil pressure was about 22psi.

thanks a lot for the info. I don't think 6psi is a lot of oil pressure to the DBB turbo. Keep looking if it will stop leaking on the compressor side.

Sean, can you provide all the oil data before and after you put the turbosmart regulator on. As it stands now , you have the ER gear, BS delete and no oil squirters.
Oil weight.
Cold start pressure to the CHRA
160* idle pressure to CHRA
6000 rpm pressure to CHRA

I experienced 35+ psi going to the CHRA on startup before the regulator (.030 and old style chra) even with a ported oil bypass, stock oil pump gear, oil squirters and BS delete . After the regulator startup pressure went down to 25psi When I was using the .030 to the old style CHRA.
After the regulator (modded spring) and with the new CHRA and .020
Oil weight 5-40
cold start 15psi quickly down to 12psi at 1300
160* @ 1-2psi
6000 @10-11 psi

Oil pressure and crankcase pressure are both in check and I do not have any oil moving out of the turbocharger.
