Got the rear diff and tcase back from TRE Monday, and got everything back together, fluids filled and ACD bled Monday night, took about 5 hours. The diffs came back very clean, well packaged, and assembly looked highly professional. Tamper seal on certain bolts, and serial numbers stamped into the housings to match the invoices. I'm definitely ver happy with TRE's work. Did 6 20 mile heat cycles before hitting the freeway with it. And now to put some miles on it before I get to see how the 12 plate rear diff works. On a positive note, I get way better fuel mileage not being able to drive the car with any kind of enthusiasm ha . Still whines a bit around 75mph, probably because of the urethane rear diff bushings, oh well. Hopefully it quiets down with some miles on it.

The car managed to develop a small coolant leak from somewhere around the tstat housing while it sat the last month, gonna look into that this weekend. And I put urethane bushings in the front motor mount. This gave the interior a nice rattle at freeway speed from the rear seat/rear window area. Going to have to find and fix that, its quite annoying.

Added a few things to the car. FP ball bearing red, GSC S2's, ETS 3.5" intercooler, Tial QRJ, speed density, and FIC 1650 high-z injectors. Made about 360wtq/410whp on a tune that I will be getting redone shortly. Car is very fun to drive, the red has an awesome powerband. Will hopefully be getting it tuned by Rick at RRE next week, hoping to squeeze a bit more out of it on pump gas, and then make 500-525 on E85 to really make it fun.

Doing a trackday February 28 at Willow Springs, Streets of Willow. Have some 255/40r17 nitto NT01's on the way that will go on tie orange Konigs. Going to be running Raybestos ST43 pads on centric slotted/curved vane rotors. Looking forward to it.

Current pics of the car.

So, went to Streets of Willow on 2/28/2016. Did a personal best Tim of 1:26.477. This was my first time at this track. Running NT01's, raybestos ST43 pads, and boost turned down for 420whp.

Got lots of good pictures from Caliphotography through out the day and had a really good time Then the wheel came off in the last session.

The car is now going to have ARP wheel studs, and I got new lug nuts. The studs all simply sheared off at the base. No evidence of loose lug nuts. Also ditched the stock dust shields and made down heat shields for the ball joints.

Thanks!
Those are actually the original Konig Torches, just powder coated orange. They're discontinue now, I'm trying to find a couple of spares.

The Milligrams don't look bad either.

Have you had any issues with Konig wheels? Not too many Evos run them but they look great.

Nope. Had a set on my GTI, and both sets for the EVO. No issues. One of the milligrams is bent (just the barrel), but you can't really blame the wheel with the sh!tty roads and constant construction in Vegas. They always balanced out nice too.

KONIG is owned by Enkei so the same tech behind Enkei wheels is used to make Konig wheels.

Milligrams look good on your Evo. Definitely considering a set now after seeing it on yours.

I forgot about that. I don't think they're owned, so much as maybe a parentship. But they do use Enkei's MAT process on their performance wheel line.

And thanks, I like them too. A bit of a TC105-N knockoff, but a little different at the same time. And they're really easy to clean.
