PIRANA's Evo9 MR Rebuild Update!
#61
What can I say....I dont have his manifold so a couple of his side-items will do!
Replaced the original steel cam sensor shield with his new titanium version.
ToxicMan always peeking thru!!
Now this is what I have been waiting for since the build ended....a way to get rid of the cheap white plastic dipstick handle. Thanks to www.FrontlineFabrication.com
I need to take a better picture. This one doesnt do it justice.
So now the car is ready and Im showing at the Dallas Auto Show in the NTEC booth, so I needed to call my good friend Matt from www.pinnacle-detailing.com If you are in the DFW area he is the man!
That reflection!!!
Only little cool deal that you might not noticed, is how dirty and dull your license plate bulb covers are!
What a difference it made on my new plates!
Yes, I know, but I have always wanted one and I think the car can pull it off!
Again, another Domo...this one was a cool idea by my sticker guy!
So clean and subtle are the flushed RAYS Eng. lug nuts.
I can go flashy at any time!
And this is the completed engine bay...I did add a Beatrush radiator diverter panel from an Evo7, but I have mixed feelings about it...might sent out to coat in wrinkle black paint.

Its pretty easy when the whole thing is out. Ill post a pic of all the old rusted bolts and brackets later.
LOL, Had To!!! everytime I looked at the engine bay I saw it and didnt know what to do with it
It took me awhile, I think Ill have to see the exact dates, but I think I lasted almost 2 yrs. Had to work overtime and save to get stuff little by little.
Thanks! I wished I would have taken all the pics with the good camera, sometimes the lighting made everything look yellowish.thanks!!

Unbelievable!
I'd like to publicly thank Victor for ALL his time and help! Not only does he know how to wrench his own car, modify it in a classy, professional and educated manner, but on top of all that, he is extremely helpful to others! I have PM'd him a few times with questions about some of his parts and within literally an hour, or two, an answer is there in my PM box!
He's not shy in telling where he got a part that I might be interested in, etc. whether in a PM, or here on his thread. Thanks for being a stand up guy Victor! He's a real asset to the Evo Community! -Howard.

So some might say that I never drive my car, since most of the time is always clean....well I'm going to try and bust the urban legend...hehehe.
So I have been driving the car and just enjoying it and here is some proof...dirty wheels!!!!
Wooo how I hate brake dust!
I use Simple Green....for almost everything!
you can see how it immediately takes care of the dust.
Now for some suds...
always pre-soak...LOL
Domo needed a bath too.
Sorry no soapy bikini babe...although I wished I had one.
Ah shiny again....dried with an authentic JDM chamois!
todays cirrus clouds!
Back to been black and orange!
I never use tire shine...it just deteriorates the tires.
Nice pics of the engine bay, no filtering.
Some of my friends I like to promote.
My 704SS badge I made...
