6466 stock motor VIII

I purchased this car with a 35r kit and it was pretty fast. All of the work was done by STM and it was very well taken care of. It was a very reliable low 11second pump gas car. Very hard to beat on the street and consistently kicked *** at the track.

Of course, I decided I wanted it to be even faster. Push it well beyond what it was when I bought it. And make it my own.

My goals for 2015 are to:
Run a 9second pass
Trap 140s

I am going to do whatever it takes to meet this goals.

I only ran one pass last year and got kicked out of my track for not having a cage. it was a 10.9 @ 137mph (here come the ricer excuses) but it was with getting locked out, short shifting, and having the worst suspension ever as well as the only time going WOT since being tuned.

Since my last outing the car has received a Quarter Master twin disk clutch
STM DragSpec Rear Swift springs
10pt cromoly roll cage
interior weight reduction
exterior weight reduction

as of last year my car weighed 2850lbs with full interior and a half tank of gas on my drag radials

It was tuned by Emery and it dyno'd at 550hp 385tq at STM on 31psiE85

Here are some pictures from last year and this years progress so far:
Cant thank everyone at STM enough for all of their help getting the car where it is today. It WOULD NOT even be close to what it is now without their guidance, advice and their parts.

Also thanks to Alex and crew at SheepeyBuilt for making a kick *** turbo kit and always hooking me up on everything.

As well as all of my friends that have helped along the way.

If you plan to go all out, it probably would be a good idea to get that block built bud.

Otherwise, nicely done. They did a excellent job on her.

For this season I am just doing this on the stock motor. I have everything else done so when/if the motor goes out it will just be a motor drop in and ready to race.

What is the current weight? Its funny we are twins, Apex silver VIII (I have nose chop, you have trunk shaved) but both Angry Aero and shooting for the same times! I weigh 2680 no driver, bride driver seat no back seats (complete dash, no heater core) + lightweight mods. Stock block 6466 t4 divided though! Good luck with your goals, I love the cage work and roof swap!

I am not sure yet. I should have the car back from the body shop maybe next week but I won't be able to get to a scale until spring (4-6weeks) I am hoping (it should) weigh less than it did before. If it's under 2800 with full interior I will be happy

I am still debating on putting in a new transmission. I can shift 1-5 fine, and can get into 4th gear at WOT fine at high rpm but I don't have a reverse lol. Missed 4th at the track last time out and it hasn't been the same since :-(

GL with your car ! Seems like these turbos are a great choice and pretty safe for these motors

Kind of an exciting update.
Body shop is all finished with the car. I'll have some sweet iPhone pictures of it tomorrow !!
Going to test fit the Belak's as well. Hopefully they fit. Otherwise I'll be driving on QTPs lol.

Also bringing it out to STM tomorrow so they can ship my transmission to Raif @ RRT for a full rebuild. Was debating on doing it or not. But I'd rather have it done now before the season starts than break it mid summer. (Or my first pass lol)

Doing the dog 1-2? or just a simple rebuild?

I'm about to just drop my whole car off to him, I'm never gonna get mine back together lol

Dog 1-2. Might be doing billet tq tube and 4.31 FD but he is seeing how long the wait for parts is. I'm looking forward to see yours finished. Better get it back together! Lol Here's a screenshot of a picture of a picture from IG from the body shop lol. Picking it up in 4 hours STM 6466 stock motor VIII '15-image-896658267.jpg

Edit: doing the 4.31 FD but not the billet tq tube as the wait for the part could be up to a month. Should have trans back in a couple of weeks. Just in time for some nice weather hopefully.
