Today I was able to install the stm under drive pulley and mount the new alternator. Also I touched up the spindles with a fresh coat of paint.

Just curious what u used to clean that brace? Its aluminum I'm assuming. . . I used metal rescue with very good results. . . Also that stm alternator pulley is larger than oem ? If so what is the advantage over stock?

If your talking about the subframe , I used purple power with a scrub brush and power washed it.

as for the stm alt pulley i never did a side by side. The differences are 10% lighter, raised guides and anodized (looks).

advantages are : belt won’t jump off the alternator at high rpm, lightens the load on the alternator, last looks/ won’t rust.

03/13/19 ... After months of zero motivation I finally got back to work on the car. Today I got a few more bolts/nuts from stm on order, mocked up the suspension and removed the other subframe to clean it and paint it.

Started cleaning up the oem sway bar and brackets. After talking with Austin (STM) about my goal level I decided to stay with the oem sway bar , energy suspension sway bar bushing and super pro rear end links. Sanding down the sway bar now this should be another great looking restoration!
