That torque "curve" (its more like a football field of torque ) is all you need to see that this thing is a riot. Pretty much >500ftlbs from 4k-6500. Just about a stock turbo on steroids.

Oh, I KNOW

I'm just curious to know how much I'm going to need to push my Red to see anything similar

This probably max effort. Pushing the WDDC until it quit making more boost lol. 650 is right around the max for the 61lb compressor, then consider the restriction of the MHI hotside. With the 2.3 vs 2.2, your car will prob make a bit more torque down low, Erik.

Technically, Tim made that on a 59# comp wheel

Appreciate the feedback

A 2.3 should also make good torque but with the larger crank will come higher backpressure and it will be harder to hold the power/torque out the top with a small turbine wheel setup.

Its important to look at average power. I'd rather have a broad power band then peak and fall. It had 32psi in it at 4000, then up to 35, then 37 then it tapered to 32. Shaft speed was probably a chazillion. If I wanted to make more torque I could've just ran it at 40 on the hit. We also ran it back to back 5 pulls in 13 minutes. If I was really after setting the record even higher , A cool down, no air filter and using a stack would help. There is also the M5 and E98 method IF I had more pump/injectors.Better fuel is an easy 20+.

With proper tuning and if the clutch held it would make a big number but thats not what I'm after . So many people look just at the numbers and not how smooth or the shape of the graph is.

I'm not about chasing numbers, I've got a well built car that runs well and makes what it makes.

I drove the car about 100 miles this past weekend around 30psi and its pretty good.

I was just curious what boost level you were at for the 650. I'm aware 37 on a 2.2 will be a little different than 37 on a 2.3.

And I know you're not chasing numbers. It's just fun conjecture about what my set up may/may not do vs. your set up (since they're fairly similar, or as damn similar as you're going to get)

I know I just want other people to understand that. They are just numbers.
Hopefully you get your car back together soon. A Stroker red of any kind is a fun street car.

How are the ID1700s doing? Are they close to being maxed out at this power level on E85?
Thanks,
Mike

I had the 1300's before and the 1700's drive pretty well. They were at 90% on 81% Ethanol on the 649whp run.

I typically run less duty/boost around town.

Drove out to the street car takeover and entered the "King of the bakery" roll race class. Ran about 5 times at moderate power . Made it to the finals against an 8 second drag 240sx with a 2jz and nitrous. Went from a 30-35 mph roll starting in 2nd. Got out on him and he finally ran me down at the top. Had a blast. I went 136mph to his 161mph. He beat me by 4 tenths..

Whats your perception on the 4.11s now that you have more power?
