Doing the next version begins with another failure. The Manley 100mm crank the previous owner chose to use against advice from English Racing cracked. I noticed a light tick one day and though very faint grew a bit more noticeable after about a week. So I had English cut open the filter and drop the pan. Sure enough, cracked on rod journal #4

Another Chinese Walmart crank failure, see this SO often!

Yep. I wish the previous owner would've just used a damn eagle.

Well that's a relief. When I texted Aaron @ ER he told me it was a bomb and then wouldn't tell me what wire to cut.

Making some progress. I finally finished a big piece of the wiring. This is the completed front body harness that starts in the driver side kick panel and goes to the fuse box. It then branches out to headlights, fans, etc.

My Curt Brown intake showed up today with the s90 throttle body too. Man for a "stock" intake it sure looks good.

Yeah my friend Stayton here in town does headlights.

Small update. Tossed the motor on a stand and set the head and oil pan on so Barber Design & Fabrication can build the downpipe. Should be a pretty part. He's also a GVR4 guy so he's cool in my book.

Small update, a part was picked up today. This is the Radium fuel rail and pulse damper. It looks dead sexy.

Yesterday I finished removing the rest of the brake parts, power steering stuff and the little misc parts

Then I went a couple more rounds with the dollar store orange cleaner/degreaser.

Tomorrow it'll get washed, masked off, and painted!

Prepped for paint today. Degreased and scotchbrite scuffed the bay, then degreased one more time.

Then got to work masking it off. My buddy took over because he said I suck at it.

Once masked we wiped out down with mineral spirits and began spraying a rust stopper sealer thingy. There were a few spots around the motor mounts that had some surface rust.

Here we go with the paint. We used this paint from Industrial Finishes here in Portland.

Stayton sprayed because that's his thing.

Here's some nice progress, I got a guy doing my downpipe build and he sent me a couple progress photos.

Thats right, I'm going recirc.

I also had issues with the bolts that came with the s90 throttle body and CBRE port job, so I turned again to eBay. These tapered titanium bolts came from the UK.

And they fit perfect.
