Yeap, I think that's why it holds the torque a lot better at the sacrifice of a few rpms, point to note is that I've got quite big cams, won't idle under 1500rpm

Nice, I've seen this down at Chris' workshop when I've been down there for things over the last few months - good to see it's all up and running nicely Been talking to Chris about EFRs for some time and he was quite interested in how this would go, should be a beast with that power!

Cheers! Tbh I didn't expect a response from anyone local, small world, yeah Chris suggested the turbo so I went with that, was crazy expensive but I guess that goes with buying the best turbo on the market, although I was looking at precision pte6466 originally. Mrlith sounds familiar, don't happen to have or had a silver r33 turbo? Remember one ripping my white r33 in palmy a few years back, good times.

Hahaha, maybe - I had a silver R33 with LITH as the plate... 'encountered' a couple of modified white R33s around Palmy when I lived up there and at the time I definitely had the edge on them, one of them was a good sort who I kept in loose contact with the owner of for quite a while after - had a black bonnet, a screamer etc and I think went an RB30 some point down the line but am drawing a complete blank on the name of right now. That wasn't you? Mahubro on youtube, from memory.

There was another one that I only remember a real brief random run in with that was also in pretty good humour but it was just a real random short little jaunt for lols, don't remember seeing it again afterwards but looked tidy and seemed to go ok - may have had a Jun kit or something?! Fun times anyway Around that time I had been VERY close to buying a black EVO 9 in Palmy and have half regrets that I didn't, I had decided to wait until they dropped in price a bit and it never really happened.

Depending on the power you were aiming for the 8374 is definitely the better choice, 6466 would have made a lot more (guessing your turbo has a bit more in it too though) but the streetability and "stand up" response on the 8374 is pretty hard to beat. Awesome turbos
