4G63 engine swap for road racing

4G63 engine swap for road racing
Hi! We run a Mitsubishi Eclipse V6 3.0L in road racing under SCCA STU rules. We are considering an engine swap to the turbo 2.0L 4G63 Evo engine. We would need to have a 35mm (1.4”) restrictor plate. Anyone know if that would make sense or how much would that plate impact performance?
