Awesome job Moose! Everything looks so clean and proper. I love threads that don't shy off detailed pictures. I don't think I've seen pictures that clear of the new OEM shortblock before. Keep up the good work!

Thanks , I appreciate the compliment. I’ve loved this car from the moment I bought it lol. Just trying to give the car what it needs. Thanks for checking it out!

The one I installed for an EVO 8 block cleared everything and didn't need any adjusting.

Hell yea! Thanks much appreciated.. I’m going to check it just to be 💯 before I seal the pan up. I only read one horror story so I figured it would be good but I rather have a second opinion.

Something tells me that the clearance adjustment is more of an issue with 94mm and 100mm cranks. The OEM 88mm should be just fine.

Good to see these parts out of storage lol

Some eye candy... cleaning surfaces and cleaned up the threads in the block for like 2 hrs, used arp lube on threads into block and now I’m out of coffee filters to continue cleaning. I’ll be back tmw....

Got the head torqued to arp specs, 30/50/80 glad that’s over. More to come tmw I hope , plan on bleeding lifters and then sealing up the pan if I get to it tomorrow. Don’t judge my engine support setup lol

Which head gasket did you use? I used the 8 gasket but my local evo shop said he uses OEM 9 gaskets on everything. More layers and slightly lower compression.

I just used the Oem 8 gasket, figures lol. I’m sure it will be fine, but that’s nice to know about the 9 gasket.
I’ll have full bolt ons with gsc s2 and 5040 kit, bbk full B.B. and ported stocker for now till I save some money for a Garrett or Efr series turbo vband setup lol.

Some more stuff done...
