I've had this car for more than two years. It has gone through multiple changes over this period of time. This is the most current setup:

Here are some pics with my old mans '12 Boss mustang:

Glad you got rid of those white wheels. Car is looking good. Hopefully I can get mine up there one day for a pic.

Me too, and thanks man. I hope you can make a trip up here as well. When you gonna start your build thread ?

So I started this journal to show progresses and well unfortunately regresses as well. Today's post is not a step forward.

I noticed my cars exhaust sounded different and that my boost curve had changed significantly as well. Here is what I found:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...6/IMAG0321.jpg

The gasket between the exhaust manifold and turbo blew out because one of the bolts holding them together fell out. This is the second time this has happened. There isn't enough room to put a locking nut on the back side, but I did have a lock washer on the bolt. This time around I think I'm going to cotter pin the bolt or safety wire it some how. If any one has any other suggestions I'm all ears.

I will update with more pics since I have to completely remove the turbo kit now.

Car looks awesome! Do you experience any rubbing in the rear with the 255s?

Thanks man. Yeah, I'll get something figured out so this doesn't happen again.

Thanks! No issues with any rubbing, but the rear fender are rolled. I could have probably gotten away with 265s, but I had no real idea what would and wouldn't have worked when I ordered everything. I just noticed most people were running 255s. I'll get some pics of the rear and post them up.

Nice! I have 265s actually and rub like crazy in the rear, rolled flat. It only rubs on the tiny lip where the quarter meets the rear bumper. Not the bumper bolt. It's weird and I don't really know how to fix it.

Ah I see. What suspension setup are you running? Which tires are they?

Blue91lx Sep 6, 2012 05:22 PM

I have S-Techs but have Ohlins in the garage that are going on over winter. The tires are the Nitto 555s.

evilempire76 Sep 7, 2012 02:45 AM

I see. I had S-techs when I bought the car, but I didn't like them that well. The Bilstein / Swift combo is awesome. I wish my car was slightly lower, but I'm good with how it sits now.
