Just bought the car from a the owner who built this back in 2005/2006. I am not new to building cars however I am new to the Evo world and excited to restore and build up this amazing car. Got a few things in mind that I want to change, add, restore, and modify. Would love everyone's help and feedback as I take on this new project for a car that I will enjoy to fulfill my passion and hobby!

Day 1 - Purchased the car. Doesn't run. Missing battery and needs a fuel flush.
This is how I bought the car, basically an APR shell. It's been sitting outside for many years and has definitely felt some elements. Interior has been ripped out as the car used to have an entirely custom fiberglass audio setup throughout the car. I will be taking this build in a much different direction.

Day 4 - Carbon Fiber parts came out pretty well considering how bad of shape they were in. Got a flat bed to tow the car to GS Motorsports in Irving, TX. German Sanchez (owner) is a close friend of mine whom I've known over 13 years and does amazing work and has done all of my builds in the past.
When German inspected the car for me today, here were his initial findings:

1. Wire Harness - It looks like rats or some type of animal got into all of the wiring in the engine bay. Something ate away at all this so we will be re-installing a new wire harness.

https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.evo...e7f3b5bdc4.jpg

2. Restore and modify Fuel System - Changing the car over to E85, installing new fuel pump, clean the fuel tank (If there's too much damage I may install a fuel cell), new injectors, new fuel lines and fuel pressure regulator.

3. Battery and Battery Kit needed

4. GReddy Exhaust Manifold is Cracked, but it is fixable and going to reinforce it (temporarily).

----------------------

Game plan here is clean everything up and get the car running to see if the car will turn over and then I will look into options on upgrades, modifications, and potentially more repairs needed. The car currently has HKS Coilovers, so I will be lowering the car 2" front and 3" rear once all the temporary work is done. Also planning on new wheels/tires.

Here are some more pics from today:

Still removing a bunch of old audio wiring from when it was a show car.... almost 10lbs of wiring! :eek:
GS Motorsports still cleaning the fuel tank and removing the old gasoline. Replacing fuel lines and hoses in the tank. Once they get the car running, we'll know what the next step is... whether there are more repairs need or if we can start adding the fun stuff. {thumbup}
