Newbie
MY point exactly where is the 28 K new evo?? but anyway i would trade that evo in for that C63 any freeekin minute.. After owning 3 evo's and havin a good time with my 600 whp evo its time to move on to something better .. You said i failed ? drive the c63 or the M3 or the RS4 (which by the way i owned all 3) and u tell me that I failed lol
What do you think is going to happen to the value of your car when Mitsu puts out 4 grand in rebates and dealers start selling NEW ones below cost to get them off of their books. I got my PB X GSR SSS/Aero for 29K OTD with 15 miles on it and I'm sure I could have gotten at least 1K more off of that price if I really wanted to strip out the deal even further than it already is. Basically it comes down to this. It will be cheaper to buy 2008 Evos new rather than even slightly used until this bear market is over, period!

South Coast:
GSR SSS
MSRP $35,655
$31,499
Factory Installed Aero Add MSRP $1,999
$1,590
You're telling me that you got a car with an MSRP of 37654 (and South Coast price of 33089) for 29k MINUS your TT&L? Are you factoring in some sort of trade allowance?
I find it VERY hard to believe that you got a car for likely 5k below what South Coast is selling the same car for.

Still even then... $4k less than South Coast? Was the car wrecked in those 15 miles? Did someone think it was a ralliart? Something is not adding up here.
There's a potential 1k in rebates (military + loyalty) which would get him to 32098k... where's the $3k extra off come from? No way a dealer eats 3k.

And those low prices that are being quoted is based off a multitude of rebates and rcving either the 0% for 60 months or 3% for 72 months and take off another $1000. check out Anaheim Mitsu and tell me you can't get a X SSS package for less than $30K... It can and is being done daily

and seriously, if you can afford those 3 aforementioned luxury sports cars (I've driven the M3 & RS4 while in Germany), then the X was definitely not your cup of tea. You are comparing two way different class of cars off the showroom floor. It's definitely your opinion. You're flippin the bill.
On a side note, I've driven in both the M3 and UK EVO X (FQ300) around Nurburgring and the X hands down was the best all around car. And for the price, it doesn't even compare.

While I don't disagree with the second half of your statement, tell me the dealer where you got this deal.

some dealers are desperate, but the bottome line is that you take a car MSRP and you factor in following:
2000 dealer cash (just put on)
2000 customer rebate (if you are not financing)
1500-2500 (roughly) of profit and hold back
1000-2000 of dealer cash based on achieving certain steps
500-1000 of military, loyalty rebates
so theoretically if you combine all of this and the dealer doesnt keep anything you can currently get a VERY low price on car.
in reality they want to make something, at least cover their expense of selling a car and perhaps hundreds (if not thouseands) of dollars they had to pay for flooring on a car thats been sitting for months
HENCE: expecting to sell a used evo X w/sss for 28000usd at this moment is unreasonable, since you can get a new one, perhaps with more options (aero and or/nav) for same or slightly less. However, once 08s are gone and the 2010 are released with, i am pretty sure higher MSRP, the resale value of used 08 will bounce back and stabilize, unless you are currently dealing with uninformed buyer or seller, of course
