One owner, bolt-on's only, clean title 2003 Rally Red Evo 8
Up for sale is my 2003 Mitsubishi Evo 8. The car was purchased new by my father in 2003 at the Mitsubishi dealership in Murfreesboro, TN. The car currently has 112k miles, 72k of which were put on by my father through his highway commute to and from work every day (is prone to go up because it's currently my daily driver), the rest have been put on by myself over the course of 6 years with mixed highway/city driving. The title is completely clean and I have almost all of the paperwork since the car was purchased to detail everything from tire changes/balances to the recent engine replacement.
I just received the car back today from Empire Autohaus in Birmingham, Alabama. The original motor blew a bearing and caused the entire shortblock to implode on itself; I had a brand new, OEM Mitsubishi shortblock installed back into the car and it currently has 700 miles on it (500 from the shop breaking it in and 200 from the drive home).
Reason for sale is that I am no longer interested in driving the Evo and do not have the interest nor time to fix the minor issues that it has.
The transfer case was replaced at ~85k miles with a MAPformance stage 3 "beast mode" transfer case with wavetrac limited slip differential.
The original clutch was replaced at ~70k miles with an Exedy stage 2 clutch and flywheel.
The transmission has never given me any kind of problems or grinding and the car has never been raced or taken to a track.
The car does have a couple "bolt on" modifications: Greddy full titanium back exhaust, aftermarket downpipe (forget the brand), Hallman manual boost controller, Walbro 255 fuel pump, Evo 9 MR blow off valve and Perrin intake. The Evo also has an AEM boost gauge and AEM air/fuel gauge mounted on the drivers side. The car was conservatively road tuned by Mellon racing back in 2012 and was making 290 HP/282 ft LBS of torque.
The car also has Eibach lowering springs and a Perrin rear sway bar.
Exterior mods: "Depo" tail lights, the back was "debadged" and the emblem was wrapped in carbon fiber, the front emblem was plastidipped black, the headlights were swapped with a pair of "blacked out" versions with new 4k HID bulbs/brights, shorty antenna and carbon fiber roof diffuser. 25% tint on every window with the exception of the windshield, which was left stock.
The good: One owner, clean titled Evo 8 with very minimal modifications that has never been thrashed, beaten on or raced, has a brand new OEM shortblock, the transfer case is bulletproof, the belts/fluids were all replaced 500 miles ago, the tires are in good condition and I have almost all of the stock/OEM parts aside from the exhaust.
The bad: The car needs some serious exterior TLC: The paint is dull/fading and has seen better days, the passenger door has a dent in the very bottom of the panel where it meets the sideskirt from a potential thief trying to pry the door open while the car was at Empire Autohaus, there is a "ding" in the paint on the front right side of the nose of the car where my mother backed her Honda Pilot into the Evo at about 2 miles per hour, the brake calipers need to be refinished (the original coating began to peel at ~85k miles), the wing needs to be refinished and the stock Enkeis have some road rash. The car also needs to be re-tuned- the car is currently running on a stock tune but I will include a copy of the Mellon custom tune.
Pictures (I have the stock lip, it is just not installed at the moment. I was previously running an aftermarket lip but have since taken it off):
Damage from attempted burglary:
Small paint chip that has been touched up after someone tried to pry the wing off the back of the car:
Wing condition (has been lightly sanded down and needs a new clear coat)
Brembos look very similiar on all 4 corners:
Stock intercooler has a weird ding in the bottom of it from bottoming it out when backing out of a driveway. Works as if nothing happened- no fluid leaks, pipes coming off, loss of air flow, etc.
Small ding from my mother gently backing into the Evo while parked with her Honda Pilot:
Interior is in good condition with the exception of a stain in the center back of the rear seats (excuse the quality, did not have time to clean the interior today):
Asking price is 14,000. I'm open to trades for 250-600cc sport bikes + cash ontop.

For all practicality sake, the car has had "2 owners", but I've grown up with the car and know its entire life story: I have all of the paperwork since the car was purchased, I have a very good idea of how and where the car was driven before I took "ownership" of the vehicle and I know the car has never been wrecked, stolen, etc.
