Evo 8 / 9 trailer hitch

Hey fellas, sold my 2003 Evo, no longer need the trailer hitch.

Used it to pull a Trailer-In-A-Bag (about 150lb) and an SV650 on top (about 430lb), as well as a Honda CRF250X. It shouldn't even break a sweat for a small trailer with tires for a trackday or something.

Just finished cleaning up some of the surface rust, and resprayed it with a rust preventive Rustoleum primer and flat black paint.

Looking for $150. I'd prefer not to ship it.

Located in Brooklyn, NY 11223.

There's no cutting required at all to install this. The hitch mounts behind the rear impact beam. You'd reuse the same bolts. It then attaches to the tow hook on the bottom of the trunk using a U-bolt. I don't have one of those but they cost a few bucks at Home Depot.

Below are some pics of how it looks installed. Pretty inconspicuous.

Another bump.

Get this for next year's season.

Give it to your loved one as a gift.

Pretend it's a moose head and hang it on the wall of your cabin!

No idea, it wasn't made by a company but buy a local member on here. Not sure as my brother bought it, and that was a long time ago.

What are you looking to pull?

Would probably be about 150lbs of weight on it. I can't remember, but I think that is about the limit for the Evo and towing.

That would be fine, I think. I never had issues towing my blue bike, which is 450lb, plus 150 lb for the trailer.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...l#post11578697

The dirt bike is around 235lb wet and that one was easy to tow. I went up some pretty steep roads up in Sussex county in NY, boosting all the way up, lol

I never saw any bending on the bolts or damage to the frame or any other stress.

The hitch bolts in behind the crash beam into the frame. I can also send you some pics of a little bracket I made out of angle iron that connects to the frame rail in another spot by reusing an existing hole.

That's what those two small diagonal holes are for that you see in the second pic.

If you're just taking some tires and tools to the track, it would be cake.
