F/A: SFI 3" 5-Point Camlock Harnesses Ralliart

Gentlemen:

I'm auctioning off for cheap a nice pair of SFI-certified and SCCA-approved Peak Racing Equipment 5-point camlock harnesses.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=130214144277

Each restraint is made of high-quality 3" nylon webbing and includes a 2" anti-submarine belt, pull-down tabs, and a smooth function, 6061-T6 aluminum alloy camlock quick-release buckle. These can be wrapped around or bolted in. The shoulder harnesses are limited to a maximum length of 56 inches.

These harnesses were installed in my Evo for about a year and only saw use for maybe 10 track days and a few autocrosses. They remain in great shape: no stretching, tears, or stains. Care was taken to keep these out of direct sunlight. I had the Ralliart patches professionally sewn on and Mitsubishi stickers were applied to the camlocks. The belts really do look great in the car. The red tracer threads on the belt would nicely compliment the Evo IX SE Recaros with the red stitching.

Thanks for looking. :mitsu:

I see why you're selling...expired by 9 months for NASA use, and they are 4 months expired for SCCA use. Hope your buyers are infomed. Will be good for someone looking for all show as they do look quite nice.

Good point. I'll make a note of it on the auction. I figured they had expired even longer ago than that. Any way, I'm selling them because I'm fed up with expensive hobbies... like my Evo. ;)

As I understand it, SFI tagged harnesses are punched with the month and year of manufacture, and expire on December 31 of the second year after the date of manufacture. This is to ensure that racers are using the latest safety technology and not a worn out set of harnesses. Harnesses with light use like these should still be fine for HPDE and local autocross events.

are these sold?

Generally the webbings are assumed to wear out with use, but you can pay the manufacturer to re-sew and recertify them if you so choose. The certifications, as stated, are enforced by racing organizations, but for an hpde they don't usually care.
