Hey guys, I am looking to make my own website, unfortunately it requires a ton of code and a lot of html that I can't do and I don't have time to do.

I am looking for someone experienced enough to do something like Myspace.com

I'll pay a negotiable amount of money. I'll Pay on completion. I also need to see a portfolio of work too.

well, how much are these people looking for when it comes to pay... one guy told me 5k, and i can't afford that being a college student now.

I see that you're in Southern Cali, I'm in Orange County. So you want basically a web portal. I can help you with that. I'm a software developer for living. I can host and use an open source portal framework using .NET to save you the money. Let me know.

i don't want .net cuz it wont do as good as .com its just something with people n .net... i am building this website cuz i love cars, and i think its a great way to generate income on the side for me in about a year or 2 through advertisements; think about it... how much do you think the guys at www.myspace.com are makign right now???

I'm sorry that I shouln't mentioned .NET to make you confused. What I mean is .NET is a Microsoft technology for the programming part, not a domain suffix like .com or .net. Don't worry about it. If you need help we can meet somewhere in Orange County (or near place) so I can get exactly what you want. :)

I didn't use MySpace.com much so I'm not sure about its features but from surface it looks like a web portal to me. I'll ask my friends who are using MySpace.com to see what's it exactly.

So you're basically looking for someone to build you a whole website that generates revenue through advertising, with all the money going to you, after an initial small fee for the website builder? Then you whine when someone quotes you $5k? I just looked up the whois on www.myspace.com, and more than likely, that site is ran by a company of more than one individual, with some pages drafted by lawyers. Sorry to bust this news, but you're in way over your head on this venture.
