I run autocross and occasionally drive to work which is all highway. I have decided to make some changes with the car and as part of it, tires are also one of the changes.

I am not sure how/ where BFGoodrich measures their tread depth, but they state they are .225" when new. I measured in-between the center blocks and I came up with .190".... which is about 85% remaining if we are measuring from the same location. Durometer readings are 73 for each tire and when they were new, they came in around 72 if I remember correctly. The durometer readings were done when the tires were at 86-degrees and at 76-degrees (they sat in the sun as I washed them off the car... so I rechecked them after they cooled off in the garage--- numbers stayed the same).

I have run about 6 autocross events with them (4-runs per event) and I rotated them front to rear after the 3rd event and recently after the 6th event. When I took them off this weekend they went from being in excellent shape to two having cuts in them. The only thing I can think of is it happened on course when I had spun the car. The one is not bad and the other is definitely deeper, but is 100% contained in the tread block and the carcass is not damaged on either. I am not sure when it happened and by the pics you can see that they have been this way for at least a couple of events. The one pictured is the deeper of the two. If you are interested in the tires, I have more pics that I can send to you, just PM me your email address and I'll can send them to you.

So that leaves price. Originally based on them being in great shape, I was looking to get more. Since I did discover it, I am looking to get $650 and I will include shipping in the continental US. If you pick them up, I'll take $600. This is about 1/2 the price of them new from Tire Rack.

I did inspect all four tires and besides the already noted cuts, they are in excellent shape.

UPDATE 9/26/14: I have them off the rims and ready to go. I am also changing the pricing to $500 for a pickup and $550 shipped in the continental US. I also have checked out the cuts a bit further and have added a new pic--- not as deep as I thought it could have been. I took an angle grinder with a sanding disc to the deepest part... and it was not bad--about an 1/8" at the deepest point and around 1/16" for the rest, so it not bad at all. Just need a new home!
