FS: CO Evo VIII Longblock
That's because you tried to chew me down more and I had someone come in that needed an engine close by that picked it up. That was an engine I made a great deal to get. Just spend the extra money and get the car back on the road instead of trying to lowball everyone and never going through with it.
if you look on some of the post i have done on some of the other threads on this forum for buying motors you will see them.
unfortunately when i tryed getting them they all said that they had a friend in need and would not let me get that one sick deal on the motors. which im now very unhappy sad about. but, hey you cant win them all.
since it has been almost a year for the car beening down and im ready to get back in the game very hard now after winter. i really trying to get this block/long block. so i can get going with the car build up.
anyhow thanks anyhow let me know what happens.
best luck to you all

and this is a LONGBLOCK...so a FULL motor sans the turbo for $2300 sounds like a pretty good deal then, or is it just me? DaveK makes a great point, "Core charge at evo shops is usually around $1400 for a head and $1800 for the block...except you get a motor that's in good running condition with many of the sensors."
i think everyone sees my point. again, if anyone feels this is TOO much, make me an offer.

I'd see this motor as a good core for a performance build. It will need to be torn down because of the low compression, and while it's apart, would be easy to either hone or bore for forged pistons. Install forged rods and you've got a shortblock that's ready for long dependable service, plus you have a spare complete head and the other listed parts that you can build at your leisure, and then sell your full long or short block in running condition, or keep them for spares...
Obviously it has a lower value than a drop in motor with no issues, and the seller seems willing to take that into account. Just need to find the right person who needs what he's selling.
Good luck!

there is no way im spending 2300 for a bad pistion. that sucks.
any time dude.
I have one for $2,450 with now bad pistons. The one I had before I told you $2,000 and you tried to get it for $1,600
and if im not wrong i asked you to do a compression test and leak down test and you didn't even know how and you could not even do it because you had to buy the motor from a rolled car. so why would i want to pay for something that maybe just best totally bad?
mjo & Mike1023, please take this to pm or start your own thread, this has NOTHING to do with my for sale.
again, thanks to CO_VR4 for trying to keep this on track. what is it about our threads that people hijack them? LOL
