FS: used Brian Crower 280/280 cams $240 obo shipped
EDIT: Price lowered!!!!!
I'm selling a used set of Brian Crower 280/280 cams that have about 10,000 miles on them. They are in PERFECT shape, with no damage. They were taken out of a perfectly maintained engine. I will have pics up in the next day, as they are at my buddy Ron's house, sitting in a spare head.
These are for a Evo VIII only.
It should be noted, that you can run these cams on stock valvetrain. I ran them with ZERO valve float on the stock valvetrain. BC recommends upgraded springs, but there has been a lot of research as to what the stock valvetrain can handle and these cams are within the specs for the stock valvetrain, as long as they aren't revved over stock rev limit of 7500rpm. I personally ran them to 8,000rpms with ZERO issue on the stock valvetrain.
I just took my head off and there is ZERO abnormal wear on the stock valvetrain from using these cams. Stock retainers, stock valve springs, Stock valves, stock lifters, stock rockers...etc. all are in perfect shape.
(Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any damage that might be done by using these cam with the stock valvetrain, even though there has been no known cases of stock valvetrain failure using these cams, that i'm aware of.)
Anyway, i'm asking $240 shipped obo. These are a known "good" set of BC 280s. Some are hit or miss. This is a good set, in my opinion. They have a really lopey idle, but are very stable and have good drivability. They were a breeze to tune for too.
Please feel free to PM me any questions you might have.
Thanks for looking!
