FS: Machined 4G64 Block and Virgin 2.4L Crank
Alright this is my freshly machined 4G64 block. It has been square decked and bored .020" over bringing the bore size to 87mm. Also includes an OEM, non-machined 100mm crankshaft.
Note: ARP Main Studs shown in picture are not included. It will include OEM main bolts and bearings to cradle the crank nice and tight during transit. I also took these pictures a while ago and never got around to posting them, and I wasn't aware the date was required in the sign so I took a new one today showing the invoice, you can see it's the same sign in all the other pics though. Asking $700 + PayPal fees shipped. Machining alone was near $800. http://imageshack.us/a/img802/2/rron.jpg It sat shrink wrapped like this after machining and oiling to prevent flash rusting: http://imageshack.us/a/img818/770/k6v7.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img809/8109/10lf.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img543/5400/zwb5.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img822/9288/oq2d.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img7/4269/icyt.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img819/1979/vg8v.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img716/3157/7e11.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img703/9859/sjf4.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img818/281/s4nz.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img32/5651/en.JPG http://imageshack.us/a/img689/7928/rz8x.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img854/5501/zhne.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img818/9661/bgds.jpg |
Also, if anyone is interested, here is a video of it being torque plate honed - the machine shop sent it to me via text when I inquired about how it was going:

Interested, cash on hand. Was the crank bore alignment checked? You said the crank is uncut, was it polished? Why are you selling?
|
The crank (main) bore alignment was checked and it was perfectly round and in spec, thus why there was no align honing reflected on the invoice. It was checked both with main bolts and after torqueing the main studs to ensure no distortion occurred to necessitate and align honing and it checked out perfect.
The crank is completely virgin, opened up a stock motor and pulled it out. It was from an automatic so you'll need to pull the pilot bushing out of the end but it can be done with a grease cup or slide hammer. I'm selling it because I already had my pistons selected and the shop got my block confused with someone else's there and gave me a PTW of .0055" when I asked for .004". I have Manley chromoly coated Platinum Series pistons so that would be too big of a gap. Arias and other non-coated pistons mandate .0055". |
