Exactly, you change plugs and the car feels better. It has mini misfires and general poor combustion before it really starts breaking up and missing bad enough that you feel each misfire.

I would attempt to change the fuel map and see what kind of an effect that has on the AFR's. If you have to go crazy though that could indicate a fuel pressure issue. I am pretty sure you will see it...
