Mine is doing fine with 10awg. No idea what awg the 525 is but my 450 looks like 14. They can get away with thinner gauge as the fuel cools the wire, but it won't really help much with voltage drop.

Even the chem resistant stuff doesn't do well with gasoline. PVC does great with ethanol, but not so much unleaded gas.

There's no reason to run a pucked clutch at that power level on the street. Especially with a stock pressure plate. Either run factory setup or get an aftermarket disc and plate.
