Private track day @ NJMP Thunderbolt in on Feb 26
heres the second green session http://youtu.be/4lLsGckJ4T8
this year with a new engine 289 whp and just under 3200lbs.
the usable rpm is 3000-5800. other then that is dead, literally. you gotto like small restrictor plates. combined that with fairly soft suspension an almost stock hight

rally cars are trully one of the kind.
also the max rally tire size for tarmac is 225 wide ;0 So when you go to rally cars nothing is impossible, and they are still Evo's

^ i was just saying that because it's hard to find an Evo that's not modified
although i do have a friend who probably has the only 100% stock Evo 9 in the US.

As a note for future events (ours or any other): If you see unsafe activity on the track you can not assume the right people are going to see it and must tell someone in charge.
Every solo'd student was supposed to be authorized by me. Semih did NOT get my blessing to be solo'd. I am really quite furious that this occurred and apologize to the other drivers that were put in harms way...fortunately no one was wrecked or hurt.
I was the instructor chief at this event so this comment and the ensuing conversation here about it is really important to me. I was told about Semih's aggressive driving after the first session. I had a conversation with his instructor to make sure he (the instructor) was in control and he convinced me he was. I saw Semih pass with out a point by in the second session and had another conversation with the instructor. I did not hear any other reports of aggressive driving or passing without points. If I had, both Semih and the instructor would have been parked for the day. Period.

As for the lead instructor again sir I apologize if I knew I would have came to you trust me.....safety is key.....also as a newbie I have much to learn. I apologize....I followed my instructors instructions....period...as I was told to so in classroom.
You ever going to explain why I was so wreckless besides making a high school comment? Why did you not walk up to me and say it? Got more ballz over internet? Why did you not tell Marc or lead guy? Don't make dumb remarks with no back-up....maybe its because you drive a wanna be EVO? Imao....welcome to track...its aggresive driving....just because you get passed every lap and can't keep up doesn't mean you should complain. Joke...
I apologize I was following instructions....I did everything he told me to do....if he said I could pass at certain points in passing lanes or sections I did....the one time I passed on left on the straightaway and I got flagged for it...that was my fault...besides that I was in check....I didn't put anyone in danger...passed in passing zones with a point by or when my instructor told me to take them....which I did....as for the solo run....i was out for less than half because i ran out of gas...and if I knew I needed to see you prior to that I would have....the guy teaching the class made it very clear. "YOUR INSTRUCTOR HAS FINAL SAY ON EVERYTHING WE TALK ABOUT IN CLASS" I figured you guys train the instructors and instruct them...so they can pass it along to us. I did everything he said to a T.....and thats why the teacher in the classroom said to do. People make stupid comments they cannot back up....I did not pay to go run the track to drive 10mph....and he still has not answered me...how was I wreckless? Why not make your smart comment to my face at the track lol? Internet Thug. If i was doing something wrong I need to know about it....besides one bad pass I was in line and in check....next time I will be sure to be in white or black so I can at least drive the way it was meant without being criticized....no one said a word to me at the track....all I got was that I was doing well...so well that he felt comfortable with me going solo for last run. I had my apexes down....my lines were fairly ok....I would love to know what was so wreckless you wanted to kick me in the ballz....I WOULD LOVE to hear that face to face. I was nothing but respectful when I responded. Don't talk **** without back-up....explain why you make your childish remarks sir. Grow up.

With this being a private event, all the instructors there volunteered their time to instruct us. At no point is anyone saying that they want you run the track at 10mph, but some feel that your instructor should have reigned you in a bit more, I can't really comment on that since I wasn't for the most part near you during the two sessions i ran with the green group.
From the sound of it, there may have been some mixup between your instructor and the chief instructor as to your status and i can sympathize with that. No need to get all defensive about it, people are just stating what they know.
ps. its reckless not wreckless

I don't know who your instructor was, but I don't think they should have been telling you to pass without a point-by. I've driven many laps behind people who don't know how to use thier mirrors, and never once have I passed them without them telling me to do so. Has it ruined sessions for me, yes. Have I been really pissed about it afterwards, yes.
The reality is you're not the only one out there, when you start driving like you are, bad things can happen.
I had a chat with someone after our first session, he thought I had pointed him by, but in reality I never saw him till he was already besides me and going down the inside. I spoke with him about it right afterwards, and we worked it out. That is the best thing to do.

Honestly, I have as much concern that no one came to me or Marc and said "that guy is reckless!" as I do for the poor in-car instruction you received. The other instructors were told by me at the instructor's meeting to tell me of any dangerous driving. Every driver should have been told the same thing at the general meeting. If not...here is your standing order for any track day anyone ever attends: If you see a dangerous act on the track, tell an official so they can address the problem.
All this doesn't mean you are a bad driver, but it does not mean you are qualified to go solo or deserve a bump in run group (that's not going to happen). You have a lot to learn yet. I get that you are enthusiastic and want to race and to "drive flat out", but this and any other HPDE is not the venue for that. Hopefully next time you are at an event you can get a better instructor and learn more.
