English Racing / ETS / GSC Power Division Evo X resets the Evo X record

Royal Purple Raceway in Houston this past weekend was home to TX2K 2017. EnglishRacing made the journey down with 7 cars for the festivities and very well prepped track.

The Drag X has seen a few versions as of late but in order to prove our current engine program we put a steel rod 2.0L in the car with a stock head. It had made 1199whp on Ignite 114 with a Precision 8385 but for this race we dropped back to a 7285 Gen2. Car still weighs around 2700 with Luke driving.

Mods -

Englishracing Steel rod 2.0L
Wiseco ER Spec 9:1 pistons
STOCK UNPORTED Cylinder Head - 100% untouched
GSC Power Division S2x
GSC Valvesprings
Magnus Sheet metal intake manifold
ETS custom turbo kit and 6" FMIC
Graf Dogbox
Motec M880 tuned by Lucas English

Videos to come soon

Aaron

We wanted to test our off the shelf steel rod motor and a stock head since it would have the highest EGT and be the most knock prone with the small exhaust ports and potential backpressure issues. When we put the old motor, aluminum rod, back in with a ported head and cams/larger turbo it should be ready to rock. The S2X was a typo, they are just S2s. The S3s that GSC did for this car are on the shelf still waiting to go back in.
