broken hearted
xtians carbon fiber version looks clean and well made. I opted for the fiberglass and i'm a little disapointed. the edges of the lip are horrible. Sometimes lining up and in other places gapping. the shop i had put it on strongly suggested that i get it molded. they also said it seemed like it was rushed or an imperfected mold (as if im a guinea pig of sorts). when i get a chance ill contact street concept about this, as i feel this is not what i paid for. $255 gb price + $200 paint job and $75 installation. as soon as i can get a digi-cam ill post pics.
^^eyo nate.. u shoulda installed it urself.. just coz u can improvice on the install..coz usually bodyshops..do the most $hittie$t jobs..to save time and effort.. i installed mine with self tapping screws and molding tape.. mines inst perfect either.. it just looked good with my scheme.. theres some gaps.. forsure for us non RA ones..just coz we dont ahve the stock holes.. and in fiberglass.. as we all know fitment is very tough.. usually requires some modifications.. looks good thou.. just imagine..just got my rear RA skirt..even that fitment is weird.. cant be perfect.. just a tought.. i hope ur happy.. im happy with mine.. goodluck..but damn car looks sick! congrats... keep it up buddy
Looks good, from a distance... I think you need a rear RalliArt lip, just to make it flow a little better.
About fitment. I think it still should be better than that!!! Those gaps are waaaay too big. And what's with the edges being all rough like that? That should have smooth!
I was thinking about getting the CF one, but not if the quality is the same as that.

hm....i got the simular problem as you....
i just got my CF lip today, the edges were not a great job, and the fitment....man.... i drilled another hole in the center of the car to match the screw that the lip came with. even though i did that, it's still off..... i installed it myself, but kinda disappointed though, i tried many ways to fit it, but still won't work....oh wells...

It does not matter whether you can see the defect from a certain distance, it the fact the the lip has been poorly manufactured. I would have already called them *****ing to get me a new one especially since you had it perfessionally installed. How long before the thing starts falling apart. Have you seen the new accolade lip, looks nice.
i am pretty sure that the body show didn't "oversand" the parts of the lip on nate's OZ. Let say if they did, how come my CF one is the same? i didn't get the chance to take the pictures yet, but i was pretty disappointed at the quality. i am sorry if i am asking too much, but fitment and the edges are just.....pretty bad.
