Agency Power Evo Lower Motor Mount Installation

Tonight we decided to install my new Agency Power lower motor mount from Vivid Racing. After opening the box I was very impressed with the look of the mount and the install was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. Here's a little write-up of the installation process...

First, very carefully open the package and remove the mount.

Next, admire the look of the new mount...ooooooh pretty!

If you're retarded like me and still have the undertray on...
lay on your back and remove the 2,540 plastic screws to
get the P.O.S. off.

Take the bolt out of the stock motor mount.

Remove the 4 screws on the crossmember to remove the assembly.

Comparison of the 2 mounts

Swap the 2 mounts and use the new bolts/lock washers supplied

Re-instal the crossmember with the new mount, put the bolt
through the new mount first, then put the bolts back on
for the crossmember. Tighten all bolts and you're done!

The car is still on jack stands, awaiting the install of my new
intercooler and AEM wideband o2. Tomorrow night I should
be done with everything so I can take it out to bang through
the gears. I'll leave my comments on hard-shifting and in-car
noise then.

so you don't need to support the motor at all when swapping this? Good write up by the way.

Nope, it's an extremely easy install. The other 3 mounts hold the engine in place while you swap this mount.

I am planning on installing this motor mount soon. However I was going to take my car to the dealer to see if they will fix my fifth gear grind. Do you think that they will say the the motor mount caused increased tranny vibration and void the warrenty work. If so it will have to wait untill next week.

I was also wondering if it might help with the grinding into fifth. If it is that easy to install I might just do it in the morning and test it out.

Great "how to" Thanks

i'd definitely remove it before heading to the dealer. most of em' will look for any excuse to not cover your repairs under warranty.

Nice write up. I just installed mine this morning, it took less than an hour including taking pictures. One shortcut though - you don't need to remove the whole undertay, just the access panel in the center. Slide the crossmember out towards the back of the car and you're all set.

It's a great looking product, I'll post my driving impressions after I take it for a spin this afternoon.

I was thinking about just taking the little part of the undertray off, but the new intercooler is coming in the next couples days so I just took the entire tray off.

Well, I'm not sure what vibration people are talking about...I'm not noticing anything different. As far as shifting goes, yeah it was WELL worth it to get this part. The 1-2 shift is much easier and the 2-3, 3-4, 4-5 are like butter now. Thank you Vivid Racing for offerering a part that is extremely easy to install and really makes a noticable shift difference...I think you're going to sell a lot of these!

Makes sense, just thought I throw it out there for other folks that are just putting this part on.

Pretty damn expensive for an overly hard mount when the Powerflex 80 durometer unit is under $50. I got mine from www.ttp-engineering.com for $47.99 and love it.

Nice writeup nevertheless.

if you dont have anything to add about this product, then dont say anything at all. why would you post up that you can get this for that one someone elses thread about another product. come on now, have some respect! the only thing that you have said worth anything would have to be the part about the nice writeup...which it was

So is this mount the front lower mount or the rear lower mount? I ask because other vendors were calling it a rear mount, when it clearly looks like the front of the car. The mount is below the wastegate and the turbo, which to me, is the front of the car.

thanks for clearing up
