On a 7" wide wheel, a 45 offset will clear, but it's really, really tight, and you'd have to run the stock width tire. If you want to run a wider tire, go with the 40 offset, or even less if you're willing to have a body shop modify your fenders.

Stock tire is 205/50/16

On 7" wide wheels, offset can be anywhere from +40- +45, though +40 puts the wheel as far out as possible, and will probably look the best. (otter)

EVO WHEELS WILL NOT FIT RALLIARTS WITHOUT MODIFYING THE FENDERS.

 

In searching for the best deal in a new set of brake pads for the front, I'm finding that most sites aren't up to date on their model listings, so they never have anything listed for Ralliarts (or even Lancers). Here's a quick list of the cars who share the same front pads as the Ralliart:

EXPENSIVE, but super high quality pads if you race, and they'll custom make pads in the other compounds they offer.

I have no idea why Hawk makes more rear pads than front pads. It makes no sense whatsoever.

Rotors are 10.9" front, 10.3" rear, 5x114 bolt pattern.

I've used the Axxis untimates up front. These were great for aut-x and provided great initial bite and impressive frade resistance. I also did some brisk TSD rallying and this involves some hevy left foot braking. Pads were amazing and never faded.
Only thing is that they make CRAZY brake dust and will wear out about 2x faster than OEM pads.


If your into auto-x and track, the EBC reds would be a good choice. They are VERY easy on rotors and create a minimal amount of dust. These are a pad that can be used on the track and will not fade. EBC reds(ceramic) are like the HAWK HP+(metallic=eat rotors) for performance aspect.

For a front biased braking system like the RA, look for an even more aggressive rear pad to help with the braking balance.

Everyone talks about BIG BRAKE upgrades, but they don't even get proper pads first.

Get good pads from the list above and work from there.

What would be a good brake pad for daily driving? A replacement for the OEM. I dont wanna get the OEMS. Is there a better brake-pad for the same price as the OEM ?

I opened this thread. I want people to contribute, if they can, temperature ratings of various brake pads for our car. Most of you probably don't care about this, but for the few who track their Ralliarts (me), it's critical information. After this weekend, I'll post up and let you know how the Axxis pads do. I run EBC yellowstuff on the rear and am considering changing the fronts to that compound, too. Thanks

 

tri-net motorsports, ebay store, makes drilled, slotted, and drilled and slotted for the RA. They have like 28 different patterns i got drilled and slotted for like 300 shipped all around and notice a huge difference.

 

What is the backspacing on these rim sizes to fit these tires?

 

Can anyone comment on whether 18" rub at all? I'd like to purchase:
Gram Lights 57Optimise
Finish: White Painted
Offset: 43mm
Backspacing: 5.90"
Bolt Pattern: 5-114
Rec. Tire Size:215/35-18
Weight: 19.5lbs.

But have concerns about rubbing. Tire Rack says they will fit, but it's 2" above the stock size and it seems to me that there would probably be issues.

 

i had 18's with 215/35/18 tires and they where ok the only rubbing you get is when you make a u-turn o sharp turn the wheels will rub the plastic but thats about it im going with 215/40/18 size tires now because the other size look to small and will damage my rim depending on the pot hole....
