I've had the same luck in my car. Pulled over 4 times and never got a ticket. I find that if your honest and well mannered it really does help your case.

It must be a Evo thing! I have been pulled over twice this month once for my exhaust and once for the stock taillights. The cops were respectful of me and never gave me a ticket but it sucks getting pulled over for nothing. I was never pulled over till I added a carbon fiber hood and wing to my RS.

 

i try to install the shifter light,but don't want mess with ecu,so i try hook it from the stock rpm(speedometers) ,is that anyone know what color is rev signal wire on evo ix

Thats wierd, ive never been harrassed over my exhaust. I used to get pulled over 1 a month with my Eclipse, god the cops hated that frigging Apexi exhaust, i thought it sounded lovely, i mean, 3" Straight through to a 4.5" tip, no cat. Purred beautifully i thought. LOL.

I actually got hassled getting it inspected this year, cause it was my first year with the EvoDave Style JDM VII tail lights, it covers the reverse lights with red too. I told them i didnt now what was wrong, they were the stock tail lights. I didnt design the car, i just drove it!! LOL. Bought it hook line and sinker

do the Evodave lights light up red or white when they come on?

 

Are you sure they're the same? I heard they were completely different
